    Didn't work for me

  • Do we need to use any promo code @balu

  • It appears to be targeted to some old users, there is no promo code. I just got an email with the link.

Does the url have the code embedded?

No luck on my account, it’s been over 18 months since I was last subscribed

    I got a text message with a $5 a month for 2 months deal.

  • I got text in Jan for $5 P/m for 2 months. I used it and cancelled. Don't think I'll be getting another offer another time soon.

Unpopular opinion here, but I think subscribing to Kayo and those sports channels that make you pay to watch Australian sport is against the OzBargain spirit.

You fund Kayo enough, eventually you will not see much live sport on free to air TV any more, maybe for sports that has lost popularity like NBL (which use to take prime time slots).

Isn't it a big enough sign that ODI was lost on free to air?

I don't mind if Kayo etc just stick to overseas sports, I don't mind paying to see things like European soccer or Australian teams playing overseas etc.

Yeah stop paying for Netflix and the like too while we are at it, might starting getting some quality shows back on to FTA.

He was right about it being unpopular but i kinda agree at least to some extent. Keep in mind it's getting WORSE as he stated with ODIs and such being siphoned off to paywalled content, that was never the case when i was a youngeon. So it IS getting worse. Same with F1, used to be on TV, now you have to pay. I'm sure i'll get downvoted but i agree that it sucks.

And the Netflix comparison is not a good one, totally a different kettle of fish. Parliament had legislated for most of those sports to be on FTA (particularly when the Aus cricket team plays in Aus) and yet now we have lost even that.

    • ODI was lost to free to air because of the BBL.

I understand what you are saying but if there is a voucher to take up you might as well. Particularly if there is one from telstra.

Need another one of these for this years F1 GP in Melbourne.

I was one of the lucky ones who’s subscription never got cancelled.

  • There is 20% off for 6 months via student beans if you don't get emailed a better deal.

    • Can you see the code in the url?

      • You get a single use code from the Student Beans websites.

        • Can you use that with Telstra membership?

          • @treeman: No idea, you can either go through the link from StudentBeans or just add the code during checkout on the normal page, perhaps try and see.

I received a targeted offer of $15 for 6 months. Wonder if they're basing it on usage for past subscriptions or maybe it's just some A/B promo testing.

  • It also didn't work for me and I've been unsubbed for a long while.

  • family sharing is the way to go

  • +2

Mine was $5/month for 6 months. I must have won the A/B test lottery

  • Doesn't work and I haven't been subbed for 12 months or so

  • Just activated my voucher that was $10 per month for 12 months.

    • Was the voucher via email?

      • Yeah, targeted email with a link to the deal.

  • Anyone getting a voucher/offer despite already having an active subscription?

    • Wouldn’t expect to

  • No email to me, no deal

  • Seems like they offer different deals to different people, all I've got is $5 per months for 2 months

  • I got an email targeting me for the F1 season but no discount offer. Sad.

Currently on a $5/month for 12 months offer via Telstra. About all Kayo is worth IMO

  • +1

I agree with Gary ANJ, not worth more than $5. Logged in after 2 years and noticed 3 screens for $35, wow, pass

I wish you could subscribe just for one “sport”. I only want it to watch nrl and nothing else, so anything more than 5 bucks a month is too expensive. also didn’t get the emails.

  • I got a $20 a month for 6 months “offer” LOL. I was paying $15 a month with the Telstra deal and it finished last month, so I must be considered too recent to get a better offer.

In the current financial climate Kayo just feels like an indulgent luxury, that I won’t be indulging in any further…
