Well I tried. I bet @gotyourback never expected that 😜

    • i thought you never posted SB, and CR only LOL one time you did, and the others didn't like it ?

Anyway good on ya mate !

      • Remember that time I wasn't allowed to go the SB party and did anyway under someone else's name? Ahhh good times.

        • LoL no i dont remember reading anything like that, not sure why SB didn't like you to attend their party, (may be too much CR associated deals posting?)
Anyway both are good, way better cheddar.

  • Saw that 15 mins count down timer and new a deal is coming lol.

  • All ebay items included or just those in certain categories?

  • More random stuff <3 Did not expect this to happen so soon though, signed up to Cheddar today for the $70 cashback. Decisions, decisions…

Wait a minute, last one was 15% bonus, just checked. Hmm.

    • was looking at that $70 cheddar promo. Do you need steppay to use it? is it just another cashback "provider"? Thanks!

      • Nah just sign up via the link and it says pending until you spend $70 in a single transaction. Yes, it’s another cash back thing, so disable your Adblock etc.

    • What's the cheddar $70? Just looked on the app and it's only saying 1.6% cashback for ebay

Why can't SB include codes like TCB did yesterday? :(

    • +2

agree, even 5% CB with Coupon is much much better

    • TCB are probably doing some aggressive intro offers and making minimal commission to get people in

    • They did with like the very first Westpac eBay deal, but they haven't included it since.

  • Why not auctions?

  • +1

I think it says up to 10% on the page

    • Yes, between 1% (with coupon) and 10% (without coupon)

  • Damn, it’s not a total of 25 % :(

  • Excuse the ignorant question but which of Westpac cards do their deals mentioned on Ozbargain, work for? I am looking to change banks and cards and Westpac deals shown in Ozbargain seem to be really good. Any info and suggestions on which card to get with them and if they are any good to bank with would be appreciated. ta

    • Just open an account and use their everyday card.

I’ve been with them for 20+ years, never had an issue - overdraw fees are a bitch at $15 - but a simple 5 minute call will revert it (you get 2 reverts every calendar year apparently, doesn’t happen often though)

But honestly, don’t know if it’s worth opening a new bank account for $20 cap return. Ymmv.

      • Any Westpac cards with no annual fee?

      • You will get more than 20 dollars cap, you can get like 200 dollars plus, because the promotion is ongoing.
I applied for the lite credit card, because they got an additional cash back offers of net 20 dollars per month for the first 12 months, paid to your credit card account. I am not sure whether they still have this promotion.

  • Just to confirm, still 10% cashback with use of gift cards without Westpac card?

    • +1

Yup, you’d still get 10% cashback if no coupon codes are used

      • What about a seller specific coupon for only that seller?

  • So is this 20% cashback all up if you use a Westpac card, no voucher codes?

    • For under $200 orders

  • It seems all I wanted to buy come with a coupon for eBay Plus users.

Can anyone tell me why the Shopback browser button doesn't advise of any cashback when visiting eBay Australia or turn green to recognise click-through when using the link on the Shopback website?

    • +1

I think thats been broken for a while - still seems to work out regardless

      • eBay asked SB to turn it off

        • Can confirm, a few stores don't use the browser extension and eBay is one of them. You can still earn Cashback via desktop if you click through from the ShopBack website, or alternatively by using the ShopBack app if you prefer.

  • Partial payment using gift cards, so as long as there is at least some contribution payment using the Westpac card this offer remains valid right?

i.e. $300 item, $250 using gift card and $50 using Westpac?

    • +3

Yup, just need $0.01 charged to your card

  • Just remember that there are limits on gift cards being used on eBay. From memory it's capped at about $1500 per transaction, and then there's a different monthly cap too.

    • +1

yes, this is what I found.

No more than a total of $1,500 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per transaction, no more than a total of $2,000 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per day, and no more than a total of $5,000 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per calendar month. Further, you may only redeem a maximum of eight Gift Cards in any single transaction (and fewer if you are redeeming Gift Cards in combination with other redemption codes, such as coupons or vouchers).

  • Is this for bidding on items or only buy now items? Unsure how this works

  • I tried to open a Westpac account online (for these ShopBack promos) and the final message said one of their staff will be in contact. I never even received an email confirmation. All my details were correct and there is nothing out of the ordinary regarding my circumstances.

    • +1

I had same issue. It's possible you had Westpac account sometime back and they are trying you on your old contact number. I would suggest you to visit branch and sort it out.

    • which type of account were you trying to open rokufan? Could that have been the issue?

      • Westpac Choice account.

  • Did the cashback track correctly?

    • 2/3 transactions tracked so far

  • @gotyourback What happens if order was cancelled and another order was submitted? Will we still get cashback?

    • +1

Yep, provided it's within the flash window and you click back through ShopBack again as normal for your second purchase, you'll get the right Cashback listed here.

      • Thanks. Yes made all transactions within the window.

  • first one tracked, subsequent 3 orders still untracked…

    • update: all transactions tracked

  • Mine hasn’t tracked yet

  • Mine have tracked.

Something super weird happened though. I bought something from the same seller back on 24/2 for the 10%+15% upsized cashback and the purchase tracked from back then, meaning the regular CB has a date of 24/2 and the Westpac bonus is 15% and is dated for 5/3. Very curious if it pays out.

  • Regular eBay 1% tracked but westpac not tracked. (used voucher and small westpac amount?)

    • Westpac Lounge bonuses can take 1-3 days to be tracked in my experience, and often they can be a little delayed over weekends. If you don't get it by Wednesday, shoot me a message and I'll get you sorted mate.
