I'm wishing I had have purchased one back when another ozbargainer listed them for $260 from the french amazon site, however since the .fr, .de & .co.uk sites won't ship to Australia anymore, this is the next best thing and could be your last opportunity before all the amazon sites stop posting these to oz.

¿Qué tan bueno es el de succión y flujo de aire en estos aspiradores?

      ¡muy bueno

        es un asco

El tubo es largo, lo que asegura un buen alcance.

  • Just be aware that there is an old and new model with a big difference in run time. This may be the old model which I have seen discounted the new one is called 'animal' I think and is purple.

    • -1

this one is the 2011 model…

      • so this is the new model?

        • -1

          it is last year's model.

        • it is if you haven't got a time machine.

    • Tried to research this but could not find any mention about the extended battery life in the Animal version. All I could find is the difference is that the Animal version includes an additional header intended to help remove animal furs.

Where did you read about this?

      • Note I mistook this for the DC35 Animal version this is the multifloor which I think should be the same just different attachments included?

The old DC30 is yellow. and the new DC35 Animal purple. If you look at the information on the older model and read reviews it has a 6min runtime. I was looking at one cheap at EOFY sales at Good Guys, but when I went to my local store no one came to help me when I was looking so I left.. went in to Harvey Norman for another reason and saw they had the vacs there but only the newer models they guy told me about the new models have a 15min runtime ( and a 'new' Max suction mode that pulls it back down to 6min ).. I was looking at the small model without the full length neck but he told me it couldn't be purchased separately so I um'd and ah'd and he brought the price down and I bought it.

        and that's the entire story.

        • Does that mean this DC35 is only 6 mins? That's not enough for anything but a single room rush job.

        • LMGTFY
The Dyson Digital Slim runs for up to 15 minutes with constant power (13 mins with the floor tool attached) and 6min on MAX.

I'm curious now and have been reading reviews about the Multi Floor and the Animal … and I can't figure our the difference apart from the colour.. They both seem to have the same specs and attachments.

          http://mummysmiles.com/reviews/dyson-dc35-animal-vacuum-prod…

They are definitely listed as different products on Dysons page and doing a product comparison only gives this accessory list as different - otherwise they seem identical specs wise.

          Animal
          Crevice tool
          Combination accessory tool
          Motorised floor tool
          Mini motorised brush bar

          Multi floor
          Crevice tool
          Combination accessory tool
          Motorised floor tool

so one extra tool [which I had forgotten I had and just found again lol]

        • the newer models they guy told me about the new models have a 15min runtime ( and a 'new' Max suction mode that pulls it back down to 6min )..

Why does that read to me "Dyson reduced the suction power in the newer models to make the battery life seem longer but provided a switch which brings it back up to DC30 power levels and so lasts the same amount"?

  • How does warranty work for these? Send back to Amazon? Or does dyson have a global warranty?

    • just gave Dyson Aus a call, seems they will only take in Australian models since their repair machine or what not are only configured to Australian models. Guess we're sending this back. Anyone know what the return customer service for Amazon ES is like?

What's a good corded alternative? I want suction as good as this but without a time limit. 3 hours charging for 15 mins use is not that great.

    • I concur.

      • +2

15 minutes is plenty for its intended purpose. You're not supposed to do you entire floor with it. I've only once run it down entirely on the 6 months we've had ours.

        • +1.

6mins is plenty for the amount of suction you get = gets the job done much faster than a regular dustbuster… if it could do anything in the first place.

    • Miele are on par with Dyson in reviews/testing etc

    • +1

      I had one of these.
Use twice a week in my room and once a week for the whole apartment.
15 mins just okay for a 2 bedroom apartment,,,
I love the cordless , handy!!

  • Lo siento, no todos los de Barcelona.

  • Darn, just bought a DC34 from DealsDirect yesterday =/

After 1 yr, probably the battery last for a few min.

    • No.

I got this from Masters after price match with powerbuys.com.au (price @powerbuys is $359 + $7.27 delivery via fastway = total $366.27)

    After 10% price match guarantee = $366.27 - 10% = $329.64

at that moment i had an offer for 5% off second purchase after opening week, which make the price down to $313.16

and i paid using discounted ww gift cards (5% off) = $297.5

    • +1 for taking the ozbargain mentality to the extreme ;)

      • +1 for remembering to tell the tale.

    • +1

These 5% off gift cards get mentioned a lot. Can someone tell me where to get them?

      • you see them pop up with nrma/racq etc offer once in a while

      • get entertainment book or sometimes with insurance membership reward (i know cgu have them).
or if you/your family work at some big organization they usually offer such thing as well.

  • +1

I've got the Animal version. The only difference is the pet hair brush (which is worth paying the extra for). The battery times are pretty accurate. The long neck converts it into a mid sized vac. Does a wiz over a flat or small house and quite comfortable to use. Not as light (or gutless) as a standard cordless. You could get a spare battery if you wanted to do more in a session (about $75).

  • Did anyone end up buying this?
