Note, the Seiko Prospex JDM SNE541J is also priced very competitively on Starbuy at $294 and worth a look (down from $625) https://starbuy.com.au/seiko-prospex-jdm-mens-watch-sne541j/
I personally feel this is a pretty good deal; Seiko Black Series SNE577P is running for $435 on Starbuy, down from $775 RRP. It's a limited run, production # engraved on each unit (granted, 5000 units was the run, so still a large release) but it's a gorgeous Prospex Tuna using the V157 solar movement. This guy is priced at around $500-$600 with most other retailers and has been holding value on resale and trades.
I have a JDM SNE543J so just can't justify picking this one up. But would in a heartbeat if I didn't already own one. They are also modable and you can remove the shroud if you want to rock a different look with it.
Blurb from Starbuy:
"Seiko SNE577P1 features the Seiko solar power V157 movement with a 10 month power reserve (once fully charged). Calibre V157 watches have an accuracy tolerance of +/- 15 seconds a month (at a temperature range of 10-60 degrees). This watch has a 46.7mm case in stainless steel and hard coated plastic with a black silicone strap and uses Hardlex glass. As a 200m water resistant dive watch, the SNE577P has a one way rotating bezel and a screw lock crown. The watch features a black dial and a grey & black bezel.
Limited to 5000 units globally, the Limited edition SNE577P1 has the limited edition serial number engraved on the case back."
Also to add as an FYI, these units use Hardlex glass, not sapphire. Hardlex will scratch easier than sapphire, but it won't crack or shatter which sapphire can. This style of watch was designed to be very much at home on the tools and a daily driver, thus Hardlex over sapphire.
