Very clearly shows AU plugs. The other one was fixed up too.
Can't comment if this a deal, but
AC Output: 230V, 50Hz, 1000W (2000W Peak)
So I really feel like this is over priced for what it is. You could easily build a decent battery box, with a small inverter and charger for similar money, but the capacity would be significantly higher.
You can buy the box and charger etc. for $669. (This one only has a 300w inverter, but it was the first I found) https://www.tentworld.com.au/buy-sale/engel-smart-battery-bo…
a 100ah LifePO4 battery is less than a $1000.if you knew how to do that then this doesnt interest you
also linus tech tips sponsorship isnt free
Have a list of parts?
Following as I am also interested in building one..
You probably can, but this is just a simple all in one solution that almost any dumbass can pick up and use, hence the premium.
Be nice if it were ~$250 cheaper and wasn't plugged by Linus.
I struggle to understand the purpose of these.
So many devices and tools are low voltage DC, and available in their own battery systems in the case of tools.
Anything that's using AC is likely to have significant current draw and drain the battery pretty fast.Genuinely, what is the use case. plugging in a hair dryer while camping. A coffee pod machine. Perhaps some niche cases like a cpap machine for someone that wants to go camping ?
Because "camping" these days involves taking a (profanity) console, air fryer, microwave, etc with you, plus you need a way to charge that drone you annoy people with.
Still advertising 120VAC output devices? If this a deal?
