I was looking for a budget web cam for my Hackintosh (Mac OS X on a DIY computer). This Logitech C270 works with new Mac OS Mountain Lion without any issue on my computer. Planned to go to MSY to pick up one for $27. But happened to see it in DSE for only $22 and bought one without hesitating. Just noticed that Officeworks website lists same price, but maybe you can get a price match: http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Com…

Yes. This web cam is designed for Windows and it comes with windows driver CD.
This is a good price…
Thanks OP, i'm off to get one.http://www.logitechshop.com.au/logitech-hd-pro-webcam-c920-f… would yield impressive results for its carl zeiss optics, but an extra 60.00. Certainly not your budget 'cam, but for others more quality concerned, 40% off rrp isn't bad.
My own logitech c910, its predecessor & with slightly better colour, arrived today after three weeks in the mail. Sourced it from United States - $70.00 - & mine included tracking number. Made a popular deal when it was around (LOGITECH - C910 HD PRO WEBCAM $69.30; +42 votes).
- Discontinued model, but where you can still get one same.

Anyone know of any movement-activated software for these things?
I'm not aware of motion detection software outside the bundled face-tracking facility.
What I found helpful to comparing the higher end of cameras and judge glass vs plastic optics, before making my decision, & there'd be dozens more on YouTube.
