These prices are insane! 250 for a soundbar I just spent 550 on last month :(

    • +1

Which one? Are you happy with it?

      • 700b maybe, absolutely love it. Love the upwards firing speakers

    • +2

At least you got a good box

    • +10

OzUnappreciative should really look at the prices before bagging it

    • +4

      You must really love boxes

      • -1

I do when you can hear the crunch from the TVs inside. Not to mention all the components from the main boards rattling inside haha.

  • +20

The feedback score inspires great confidence lol

  • Unbelievably good prices

  • -4

    more like returned items?

    • +5
      1. What does ‘Box Damaged’ mean?

This means that the box, or the packaging of the product, has been damaged or torn during transportation, however the product inside is brand new.

      • +1

        Do we believe that?
Wouldn't it be better for the company to put the "brand new" product inside a "brand new box" if that meant they could sell for hundreds more $$$?

        • +3

dude no idea what you are on about, SONY eBay does the same thing

        • +5

No, the labor and time cost to do that would outweigh any difference in consumer preferences for a nice box.

If you would like a pristine box this deal is not for you - pay more for a nicer box at JBHifi.

          • +2

@AlanHB: What?! JB Hi Fi are selling the 65" at $2,965 at the moment. That's over a $1,000 more than the damaged box is selling for. You think the cost of the box, styrofoam and max 15 minutes of labour changing boxes are going to be more than that?

            • +2

@Jackalack: I believe its also a tactic to sell a limited number at a great price. I bet the box is fine on a lot of these…

              • @D1Vad: This. I bought a Sony "box-damaged" OLED before… It arrived in pristine condition (both box & TB). I suspect it's a method of clearing stock in a more subtle way.

            • @Jackalack: Yes, if you value pristine boxes fork over the $1k.

Otherwise I'll assume you have not unpacked or repacked a tv box to conclude it would take 1 person 15 minutes to do so. That's without considering that it would take them away from their usual job in pursuit of your perfect box.

              • @AlanHB: Some other things to consider:

                • The "new" box would have to be shipped from wherever they are made, to the eBay store's warehouse, that'll be an unnecessary expense.

                • Many of these TV's are already being sold at, or close to, cost. The idea of loosing more money on them is three fold:
                  1) If the item is already sold at a loss, for the store, it would actually be cheaper to chuck em' then re-pack em'. This is a 'loss reduction' exercise.
                  2) Using an excuse like 'damaged box' makes you, the consumer, feel like you MUST purchase now or else you run the risk of missing out, so you are more likely to buy something you otherwise might not have.
                  3) It drives you too their website, where you will almost certainly buy something else along the way (probably something with a compensating profit margin like an $80 plastic TV sized photo frame that costs $2.18 to manufacture, or a $300 aluminum TV stand you could probably get from China for $30).

I agree with @D1Vad many of these will probably turn up with no damage at all

                • @LinkMonkey: I think you are directing your comments to the wrong user.

                  • @AlanHB: yes, I intended in reply in-line to @ ilikedeas , rather than to @ you (oversight on my part, apologies).
no point flogging a dead horse ;)

      • Got all foot prints over it

  • Good price, but the frame tv bezel accessories doesn't mention the size, been waiting for this to go on sale.

    • +2

Took a stab at the 43" inch frame bezel (the A$53.56 one). I cross checked the ones that have measurements in the product pictures with Samsung's website. Hope it's the right one.

I must've got the last one, now it's sold out.

      • Thanks, bought the 65" teal and it's the last one as well, unfortunately I forgot to apply the $5 discount coupon. =(

  • +5

Be wary of Samsung TVs - the stories online about reliability are shocking, TV,s home appliances etc. I loved my Samsung phones but there really seems to be a lot of these bad stories out there.

    • My TV's screen went half black after 2.5 years. Had to buy a new TV… obviously not Samsung!

    • +1

Yeah I had nothing but issues with Samsung displays. Even their monitors. Had gone through 4 tvs (2 tvs with repairs and replacements) and 3 monitor replacements in the last 6 years. I got them because I could get epp discount back then but realised it’s not worth the hassle lol. I got refunded with all of them having major issues and have since switched to LGs and an MSI monitor.

    • +2

I have owned a 65" LED Samsung Smart since 2014 and has never skipped a beat. Has been great!

      • 65" since 2018 and includes interstate moves, no issues. The menu system sux and plays ads(!), and the remote seems to want to spy on us all the time, excellent picture quality though

      • Similarly, I have two Samsung 4k TVs, one from 2014 & one from 2018, neither have missed a beat

    • +6

If you want a Samsung appliance that doesn't stuck buy their vacuum cleaner.

      • Love how you avoided the word suck in a comment about vacuum cleaners 😉

  • -2

assuming no warranty on these things?

    • +6
      1. Do box damaged products come with warranty?

For a peace of mind, all items purchased on the Official Samsung eBay store are covered by Samsung’s manufacturer warranty for that product – this includes box damaged products. For more information on our warranty policy, please refer to the Samsung website

Even if the Samsung manufacturer’s warranty has expired for that product, you may still have rights under the Australian Consumer Law. For more information, please refer to the Samsung website.

    • +17

You live in Australia, there is warranty on all things.

        • +10

Kinda - our consumer laws are pretty great.

      • +1

If marriage was a thing? ;)

        • +2

          * warranty void if spending more on the wedding than on the relationship

        • +1

Eh you knew what you were getting into, no refund available

  • +2

decision decision. can anyone please help, I have no idea about TV, mainly for tv, netflix and maybe occasional gaming, which one is the best for the money, thank you.

    • +24

the most expensive one on the list

    • +1

90Bs series would be the preferred model for modern gaming and sports watching, so I heard

      • I like 80 sounds lucky

    • The Neo are great

    • This is the best of all… Samsung 85-inch QN90B Neo QLED 4K Smart TV (2022) AU $3,623.87
I am not able to find it now :( Did you buy it ?

      • +1

        no, sold out. ;(
        Bought the Q80B instead,

    • Hands down go for the Samsung 85 inch QN85B Neo QLED 4K Smart TV (2022) AU $3,270.07

Coming at 4.2k on the samsung epp cracking tv

    • How much is this usually on sale for? Do I need a sound bar is the other question… please answer …. lol

      • +1

You need another sound bar, for double-the-sound experience

    • I must have missed this by seconds… got all the way through to paypal checkout…. then no stock left! Cry

      • I was clicking pay then had second thoughts. Waited around for a couple of minutes then it went out of stock.

        • +1

Hoping this soundbar drowns out the screams when my partner finds out I bought this.

    • ooof was in budget, but sold out, only had 6 :'(

  • +6

Glad I read this before pulling the trigger on S95B

    https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/104cvke/how_co…

    YMMV

    • +1

Endless stories about them for quality.

      • Nice downvote guys, do some googling and literally look at the dude I'm replying to! lol

    • Did you bother to read about the 1430.1 firmware update, or do you just like to wave your arms about at the first Reddit result?

I'm not glad that we get the 1-2% of faults magnified. Biggest concern with the Samsung ongoing is the thin panel and how that can impact unpacking and moving the TV.

  • +1

    crazy prices, picked up 65" 4K for $650 delivered … bonkers …

    • Which model did you get? Thanks.

    • +1

not sure how you got for $650..cheapest 65" 4k I can see is [Brand New, Box Damaged] Samsung 65 inch Q60B QLED 4K Smart TV (2022) for $898.80 (after ebay voucher)

      • +1

        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/304812649620

this one, its out of stock now .. with coupon came to over $650 delivered … I wont need QLED … happy with normal 4K , have few of the same model tvs in 55" and its awesome.

  • nice. typos in product names, custom frames for The Frame don't mention size.. this will sure end well. 2021 frame more expensive than 2022.. nice job Samsung

  • What's comparable to a Sony xr75x90k from Samsung lol

    • +3

The qn85b is similar but Sony build is still recommended over it. I'm no expert but just had a look around too. Still going for Sony myself.

      • yeah ive got an older samsung from 2014 but really looking to try another brand this time around. sony seems like the way to go for me too.. although the tcl prices are very tempting lol

    • +1

      75 inch full array = 75 q80b
But you may as well go for mini led qn series

      • thanks, i was looking at the sony x95k mini led but it was a bit out of the price range too

        • +1

Mini led tech is relatively new and being fine tuned. Samsung is one of the best at implementing. Personally i prefer Google tv and Sony quality

  • +1

65inch S95B OLED from Samsung or TCL 835 75inch Mini LED?

    • +1

got the OLED, let's see if the OLED hype is worth the smaller size

      • Correct call

  • +6

Samsung Australia eBay store has piss poor customer ratings, just like their online store.

    Typical Samsung shit service.

    Good luck everyone!

    • +1

Not sure how much this helps, but I paid via PayPal so hopefully 1% more protection

  • How good would these sound bars on a desk top pc. Yes the bar would be about 1m in front. Connect to usb port or HDMI via GPU?

    • Not sure how it would go on a PC but you could always connect via AUX

    • +1

I just bought it, think later

    • +1

From what I've heard, soundbars on a desktop are not the most pleasant experience. You'd probably have better luck with a decent set of speakers at around the same price

      • was looking at affordable sound bars myself because i wanted neat wireless speakers for the pc.. almost bought the razer soundbar on sale but had second thoughts. still looking..

        • +1

FYI there is the Creative Katana. Seen some good reviews on YT. Can't remember the price.

  • I think the Q9600B sound bar is a typo? This model is non-exist. Looks like Q600B

    • yep a typo. it is a Q600B

  • +1

Thanks OP. finally got my Samsung Frame that i missed out on from previous day.

    • +1

Other than aesthetic, is there any reason to get the frame tv's over a normal qled samsung tv?

      • +1

The only thing good about the Frame is that they go flush on the wall.
The downside is there is a box that goes underneath the TV.

    • @Mikedrop89 still looking for frame?

      • +1

Thanks. I actually got my order reinstated. Had to send the ceo office email a formal complaint letter but all worked out. Getting it delivered tomorrow.

        • +1

          Good to hear mate!

  • +42

Wow, i put my order in and says i should get it by 4 April. They probably need to damage the box more before delivery.

  • +1

    88% positive feedback, yikes

    • +4

Probably how the boxes got damaged
