Not to do with the item itself but I have been to Big Wei’s premises a couple of times and I have found them great to deal with. Never pushy or trying to offload garbage.

    That is my 20cents.

Bit of a concern on their web page looking at LiFePO4 cells…

IMPORTANT TO READ ABOUT THIS ITEM: This product has passed the Quality check and is 100% working. We do not offer any WARRANTY for this item since we don’t have any control as to how you will use these cells. We strongly recommend you seek advice or guidance from a qualified and/or certified technician especially when you do not have any experience in using this. If you experience any issues with the cells, we do not have any support for it. Once purchased, it is your responsibility to ensure that you install it correctly and accurately, to prevent any damage to happen.

It's simply straight up illegal to refuse a warranty in Australia.
This is a pretty big red flag for a business someone might deal with and thus I've neg'd accordingly.

Underlying defects can not be 100% ruled out and there is no excuse for not complying with the ACL.

Thanks for your reminder and concerns.

In fact, we could have done a long-term warranty based on the top quality of the battery cells, but we have seen too many customers make wrong operations due to a lack of professional knowledge, resulting in damage to the battery cells and BMS. The risk brought by this kind of customer DIY project is something that we cannot afford. Therefore, we can only guarantee the quality of unused (Brand new) cells but cannot provide a warranty for them.

We made sure that the 280AH GFB LiFePO4 cells are A-Grade & Brand New, have been tested and guaranteed to work as advertised, and we made sure that it does follow consumer guarantees provided by ACCC and actively made sure consumers know we do not provide warranty for the product because as stated above it is 100% working and tested.

It is also very easy to enjoy the warranty provided by us, just buy our BWB LiFePO4 batteries directly, and customers can immediately get a 3-year warranty and lifetime free service. We offer a 3-year warranty for ALL of our BWB LiFePO4 batteries because we are able to control the risks for the batteries produced by ourselves.

We strongly recommend you seek advice or guidance from a qualified and/or certified technician especially when you do not have any experience in using this to avoid any risks or losses.

      Thanks for your understanding

Nothing you've said changes the fact that this is illegal.

        You are breaking the law.

You can have a warrant that excludes misuse or abuse, but you can not refuse a warranty completely.

Time they learnt Australian consumer law. They make good products by many reports but there's no excuse for misleading advertising.

Here's another completely inaccurate and misleading statement from their Returns and/or Repair Policy, ironically followed by another statement which IS correct. This error has been pointed out to them previously yet they refuse to correct the wording, which suggests that they're trying to hoodwink unaware customers.

Costs of transportation to and from the Big Wei Battery shop will be shouldered by you. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

          Here's what ACL says: https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/problem-with-a-product-or-…
          Responsibility for returning products
Consumers are responsible for returning products that can be posted or easily returned.
Businesses are responsible for paying for the shipping costs or collecting faulty products that are large, heavy or hard to remove, such as:
          widescreen televisions
          beds
installed appliances, like stoves or dishwashers
extension ladders stuck in an extended position.
This must be done within a reasonable time.
          Return costs
If the business confirms that the product does have a problem, it must reimburse the consumer for any reasonable return costs they have already paid.
Consumers should keep receipts for postage or transport costs so that they can be repaid by the business.
If the business finds that the product does not have a problem, it can make the consumer pay the collection and inspection costs. To do this, the business must give the consumer a reasonable estimate of these costs before collecting the product.

It doesn't matter what they say, on new products there is a statutory warranty available to buyers which they can't deny under ACL. How long would A grade prismatic cells or a BMS be expected to last when not misused? At least 3 years, depending on the setup and use. Simplest thing is to avoid buying any products they refuse to warrant, or avoid the seller totally.

Be mindful these batteries contain a Daly BMS, very low quality, they don't balance the cells very well and a lot of models you cant even change the default bluetooth password so anyone can connect to your battery and screw with your settings… Also, recently they forced a firmware update that bricked peoples batteries, I believe that issue has been fixed now but it shows they're a bit of a joke of a company…

Read up on Daly BMS's before buying !

(and don't bother asking Big Wei for BMS info or support, they don't seem to have any idea, I think they just buy cheap parts to build the batteries and they don't really have any idea about batteries or BMS's)
