    • Hi, its either Nvidia Quadro M1200 or M2200

  • need a refurbished mid-range gaming laptop eh

    • Hi, will get back to you shortly.

      • how short is shortly

  • Wondering How good are these refurbished laptops. I mean battery life, cosmetically and all that. ?

    • Zbook is likely to have been an office queen so should be alright.
Pretty old though, and battery life on these workstations was never good in the first place.

Bit of an odd duck, has a dGPU but a pretty crummy one (even for the time.) 32GB of RAM is a plus. But the average punter would probably be better served with a 8th gen ultrabook like a Latitude 7xxx which come up frequently for cheaper than this.

  • +1

Only 3 month warranty, compared to 12 months for comparable deals posted here, sold via ebay.
And no minimum battery level stated (80% for ebay "refub"). Factor that in.

    • Good point.

Doesn't seem like they stand by their products that much with only a 3 month warranty

      • Just jumping on the "refurb" bandwagon, without actually doing anything.
When sellers were honest, refurbishment meant like new, replacing battery as a minimum. These are just used.

        • +1

"Refurbished" is a vague assurance that the seller has taken time to inspect, clean, apply minor repairs and restore configuration state to original.
If the battery inspects/reports as "good" meaning it has not gone past it's (software) cycle count it's not necessary for a seller to replace it or for a buyer to assume it's new.
From memory the last time I peformed a warranty replacement on a laptop battery (new) it only had 90 days warranty.
Long gone are the days Toshiba 3-year battery warranties from the 90s :-)

90 days is a fair warranty for these units if you factor in the seller probably has only 1 "lot" of them and won't have spares once they're gone.
          It's also a 5-6year old PC ex-lease (presumably).
What you have to weigh up as a consumer - is the price tag worth it?
For mine - in todays market if I'm spending $500 on a second hand laptop I am not comfortable with a kaby lake i7 (from 2017).

  • spend extra 500 and get a lenovo one.

    • Lenovo ones are part of this deal and they aren't an extra 500 🤷🏼‍♂️
