Cheap and cheerful smaller screen. Not a smart tv, but has a dvd player and you can plug in a Firestick or android tv etc. I have both so I’ll just plug in hdmi port.
Possibly cheapest 40” full hd tv atm?

    pretty fair. You get what you pay for. However, lots of people still image to pay 50% or even less to get the same. This is the reason why the faked items are still selling well.

    They assume "it's going to take up prime position in your living room".

    I agree this TV is cheap in every sense, but it's also a new TV with an optical drive for (a smidge less than) $200.
    What do you expect for that?

    I bought two 4K versions for $300 many years ago that still work great. The have many inputs such as composite and component, headphone out, optical out, eARC, USB media etc.

    For the money I expected a lot less and was very surprised at how good they are. Yes they are cheap, but they're what they're.
