I have not yet seen this posted, so here are instructions on getting 4x free exclusive cosmetic items for your character in Hogwarts Legacy, in case you missed it!

Items include:

  • Dragon-Eyed Spectacles
  • Urchin Hat
  • Carmine Lightning Scarf
  • Lilac Ensemble

Effectively, login to your Twitch account, link it up with your WB Games account, then watch almost any streamer on Twitch playing Hogwarts Legacy and redeem the rewards every 30 mins. Note: You can leave this on in the background, however, you must redeem each item before progress starts counting towards the next item. Bit of a pain - set a timer.

Check your rewards progress/status on the Drops Inventory page.

There was also an extra item (Merlin's Cloak) you could get for watching the official Twitch stream on launch day - though this may still be possible to get. I have already redeemed this but the instructions say:

      When I did a similar Twitch drop for a different game, I just muted it and left it running in the background. I still got the codes.

          It's cross promotion, but I understand what you mean. Spoilers in a story rich game are not something you want.

      Moreover, why on earth would you want more worthless clothes? The game throws them at you, to the point you have to constantly go back to a store to vendor them or you can't pick up more.

      The entire gear system in the game really poorly executed, to the point it really should have been there - Hogwart students wear a uniform

        Strongly agreed. The clothes are trash. Should have only been variations of the school uniform. The fact they all take up space is such a poor decision.
        Should let you change them in your dorm or something without the restrictions.
        The transmog is good though.

          There are actually quite a lot of variations to the school uniform, which is nice. I am personally sticking with a school uniform theme for now while I am doing my first play through (fits in better with other students in cut scenes). However, because I have changed seasons to winter now, I have put on a woolen school jumper and house scarf to fit in with the chilly atmosphere haha. All the other clothes options are still nice to have - better than not having them at all!

          Regarding inventory management, it's super easy. Always equip the highest stat gear you find - you can easily do this on the fly by taking note of the green up arrow or red down arrow that appears on the side of the screen when looting a piece of gear. Now transmog this to look like your preferred school uniform deisgn. And before embarking on any main quest, stop by Hogsmeade to sell off all your lower stat gear so that you're only carrying 6 items (the 6 you are currently wearing). You keep the design to use on any gear via transmog forever, so no need to keep the lower-stat gear taking up inventory space. Plus this is one of the main sources of income which you will need to spend on tomes and spellcrafts :)

              @brokeneither: Yeah I feel that… My way of doing it is hitting the touch pad to bring up the map, pressing the side arrow key to skip to Hogsmeade map, then fast travel to the Floo Flame spot right next to J. Pippin's Potions - it's really close by so it's super quick to sell off stuff. Then back to exploring!

      I just set the quality to 160p and minimised it but yes, you’ll still see glances of the screen at the 20 minute marks.

    Took a while for me to get this to start tracking.
    I didn't have much luck doing it on my phone, I have ended up getting it to work on a browser.

    I had to click in initially through the Drops / Rewards part of the menu, 'all campaigns', find the 'Hogwarts Legacy Drops' and click through to a participating stream.
    Once in the stream if you click your icon on top right there was a progress tracker to show how I was going against the specific drop/reward.

    Hope that helps if others are finding it difficult.

    Loving the game, definitely recommend it. I hadn't preordered and wasn't really keen but the reviews were good so I grabbed it around launch weekend and have been playing it solidly since.
