  • Titan Gray colour is available for a dollar plus more - very low stock though.

  • Is this considered cheap?

  • +2

Got two t7 that I use to backup my things from my phone.

They're pretty fast and takes a few minutes to transfer something like 40GB of videos (providing your phone can do USB 3).

    • Wow! That's impressive

  • +1

The 2tb is also cheap at $232

  • Has anyone had one on these fail? My last Samsung one died, so I'm a bit iffy about getting one…

    • +1

I have three of these in the house - no issues so far.

I've also had a 970 Evo plus fail. It doesn't really bother me - it's just bad luck.

    • Using one Samsung T5 and three Samsung T7, all working well after 1-3 years.

How long have you had yours ? Do you perform high amount of read/write on them?

      • About a year. Unknown, I'm just backing up all the photos from my phone. Only managed to go a year before it failed. Have tested to see it wasn't the cord.

        • Hope you can get a replacement from Samsung.

  • Cheaper to buy an nvme enclosure and whack one of the many cheap nvme drives into it now, which is pretty great. For only $10 extra you can squeeze a DRAM drive into it too, which actually makes sense for a portable storage drive like this where your transfers are likely to larger and more time sensitive.
Edit: obviously convenience wise this is far easier for many people. Just providing a little extra info for those interested 🙂

    • Could you please recommend some rugged enclosures?

  • Thanks for the share. Was looking at a 2tb for the ps5… Might wait for a drop below 200…surely it'll come.
