Sidchrome used to be better when they were manufactured in Australia, and not overseas.

    • Where are they made now?

      • I have a set were made in Tai Wan, still working after 5 years, only one plastic handly came off.

Why do people always get the urge to mention this whenever Sidchrome is mentioned? It's been this way for how many decades now , who cares ?

      • -1

I guess they are still trading on that folklore of yesteryear.
And there not exactly going to tell people any different.
If its not the case people will figure it out just like with makita.

It used to be a secret that repco sets we made by sidchrome and were have the price. My repco socket set is still powering on after 18 years no chips cracks missing pieces or broken ratchet.
Sidchrome were tools for life, but now who knows?

  • I want to buy one also. It would be better if they do a half price than buy one get one free. Cant fine a reason to hv two set.

    • +1

I agree, who need two same set of that

    • I want one too so would you go halves. I can order and get one to ya if u in Sydney or can post and we go halves for price, let me know.

      • Unfortunately, I'm in Perth. However, someone mentions that image is misleading, so I should not buy it.

Now, in these limited overs matches, the umpires have to decide how many overs are to be bowled, if and when the rain should stop. And that’s not all – they must also decide the new run rate required by the batting side, per the new number of overs to be bowled. And the do this by multiplying the numbers of balls bowled by the number of balls faced, and dividing that by the average age of the batting side, minus the number of spanners in a Sidchrome tool kit.

    • Being in australia, they also need to seriously consider throwing down the underarm bowl.

      I love The 12th Man :).

  • The image is misleading as there are no spanners in this kit or am I missing something.

    • +2

Image is very misleading I almost jumped on this when I saw the spanners in the image. But the product they are selling is the basic kit

Also you never know it could be a fake aswell I'd avoid it because of the misleading image alone

Negging because the image is misleading causing people to buy a product they won't be recieving

      • Ditto me. Also alwaysonsale = dodgy.

      • Anyone got a link showing the actual set? I was tempted until I saw that half the sockets were AF. Was considering the 2 pack so I could keep one in the car full time, but no point in having AF in that case.

      • I was semi interested too. But misleading pic + mega dodgey business = stay away. Also administration service fee, wtf? What a scam

  • +1

I will never buy from alwaysonsale again after they scammed me and many others. Buyer be aware.
