Was looking for another $8 aroma diffuser deal and didn't manage to find one, however did stumble across this room humidifier that looks like great value and has some decent reviews. Usually $40 and currently at lowest price according to camel3. Crazy large sub-2L tank but just keep in mind you're not meant to add oils or scents to this one.

Lol well done. Looks similar apart from the branding. Though one says you can use oils and the other says not to… 🤔
Really dislike the cotton swab humidifiers.
I never find Melbourne so dry often, except those hot & windy days. How do you know you need a Humidifier?
Get a hygrometer. What you feel and actual relative humidity don't always correlate.
Depends, if you are using AC a lot, you might consider getting one, specially for babies
True but also make sure you use demineralized/distilled water, regardless of what the manufacturer recommends. ultrasonic humidifiers throw pm2.5 particulates into the air. Those minerals are ok when drinking because they are in a different state dissolved in water. But aerosolized, they can pass through the lining of the lungs and into your blood stream. Turns and roundabouts.
Just don't buy misters, they're terrible.
Just buy a wicking humidifier, it's what people in actually dry climates use.
@MagnamoniousRex: Terrible is a bit of a strong statement. Wicking humidifiers are no less dangerous if not regularly cleaned and the filter replaced every month or so.
