No meat 🍖🥓 recipes? I don't see that being delicious or sustainable for me. 👎

    • -2

I see a couple of angry vegans downvoted you.
That's a shame, as it's now known fact that a global vegansism isn't sustainable.
At least you and me will help to save the planet I guess.

      • It doesn't change the fact that meat it's delicious 🤤. And no one can change my mind.

They don't tell you that to grow all those non meat products, they have to clear way more land and kill every animal on that land also…

      🤦

The comments here are pretty eye opening, it's amazing how misinformed people are yet feel the need to chime in. Having to kill animals to clear land? 🥲

Does he think we eat the millions of animals a day without killing them?

Where does he think the crops that the animals inefficiently convert to meat come from?

        🤯🤯😭

          Wow, talk about mis-informed!

Crops that are NOT for human consumption get fed to animals, go ask a farmer about "Crop Grades" (they all aim for human because it pays the most, but not all crops get that price premium and end up as fodder)

          • +2

@7ekn00: Is your argument here really that it's more efficient (from a resource consumption point of view) to make the literal (profanity) of ("non human grade") crops in order to sustain animals until those crops are turned into edible meat as opposed to skipping animals and producing human grade crops instead. Is that the argument? There's actual research and calculators out there if you genuinely care about this topic. Here's just a random one:
            https://ourworldindata.org/land-use-diets

Never even mind the methane gasses and everything else associated with animal agriculture.

You like the taste of meat, that's fine. Trying to fold yourself into a pretzel to try and justify how that personal gratification is actually not to the detriment of the environment and the treatment of animals, is pretty silly though. I don't even think mis-informed is the correct term, it's more like willful ignorance.

That said I very much doubt any of the above will do anything to change your view so carrying on from here is probably not the best use of anyone's time, so that'll be it from me.

@axel32: LOL you seem to assume protein bioavailability from plant matter is the same between animals and humans!

Newsflash: IT'S NOT IN THE LEAST!
              https://www.phd.com/perform-smart/protein-bioavailability/

Ruminant animals have multiple stomachs to convert plant matter to meats, we do not :/

Never even mind the methane gasses and everything else associated with animal agriculture.

LOL plant agriculture accounts for more carbon output (4%) than animal agriculture (3%) in the western world right now, according to FAO data!

Trying to virtue signal your morals with incorrect data is also silly ..

@7ekn00: You got me, animal agriculture is actually a positive for the environment.

Called it, total waste of time engaging.

Gonna have some pretzels now! 😁

Correct. That was a random one.

Cherry picking data is what that’s called.

          inefficiently convert to meat

          Now who’s misinformed

  • +5

"Climate friendly" eating, what a joke. I support non wasteful eating and minimising waste but the climate narrative is taking it to ridiculous level.

Next you will see books about eating insects promoting this behaviour change lol…
5 reasons why eating insects can reduce climate change

I'm sure they feast on bugs in Davos. Lol.

      • -1

It’s insane. Own nothing and be happy. And now they want us to feed on bugs and stop eating meat. And all for the bs climate agenda. It has snowed in Victoria for god sake.

    • +1

Bug based "corn chips" are already sold in Australian school canteens ;)

  • Eat my 💩 Schwab and rest of the sect gang. The moment i read eco i straight away knew what's it about.

I love the planet and all but im not moving my finger for anything or consuming anything, buying anything that has to do with this fake and fabricated "save the planet today for a better future tomorrow" narrative.

  • Came back to see my comment hidden. I guess I wasn’t wrong in my assumption then.
