b22 and e27 are the two common ceiling light fixtures that have been around since year dot. b22 is the "Bayonet" style, with the two little hook things poking out on the side. e27 is the screw in type.
My housemate bought back a random 4 bulb standing lamp that's still sitting in the garage, bulbless. They're edison sockets, but I half suspect these might be too big for it.
Couldn't really go wrong at this price, anyway!
the 22 in e22 stands for millimetres, should help you work it out
Not much use without the Gateway as well.
Maybe not for actual lighting purposes. My plan was to use them for accent lights for parties. I'm hoping I can at least set the color and turn them on without a hub… edit: well, maybe not, judging from the other comments
Didn't realise they needed the hub, my bad! It's on sale too I have added the link to the post description
Requires a Kogan SmarterHome™ Smart Gateway to operate and control with Google Assistant or Alexa.
Is there any workaround?
No
I think you can use the Krogan Smart home app to normally control via phone.
I have few of these and they work fine. Yes, needs gateway. You can use Tuya app or Kogan app to setup gateway and the lights and control from google home / Alexa or mobile app
Ahh poop. I thought these were like a normal wifi bulb
@ChickenDinner123: nah, these are not like LIFX
I believe you need the Kogan SmarterHome Smart Hub (Bluetooth Mesh) as an intermediary device to control via WiFi on the Kogan app. Bulbs themselves are only Bluetooth equipped, connecting to the hub first, which then enables WiFi for phone control. Not what I'd be looking for.
Bluetooth mesh, meh

Except where you're in a FIRST excluded area. Which they don't tell you until checkout.
This is why I won’t do Kogan. Found it out the hard way when trying to order a Christmas gift :(
It’s such an odd stance considering the competition they’re up against
I have these and they have failed regularly - I suspect that these are clearance
has been ok for me. one disadvantage i face though, when powered off by google or app, the wall switch does not help turning it back on.
LIFX on the other hand, will turn on when u switch off-on via wall switch.
Do these work on 5ghz wifi or 2.4 ?
2.4ghz WiFi
Any chance someone knows if these bulbs would work with Mi Smart Hub?
tried, did not work.
Thank you heaps..
Bought the e10 version a couple of months ago. Do not need smarter home. Works with any tuya app. Drop out occasionally when syncing to google home but no issues on tuya app- i use smart life. Colours not bright at all, so i turn them to yellow when i want to dim em down
Edit- mine are wifi version. Bluetooth does not connect to google home despite ads
Thanks for confirming this. I suspected they were generic Tuya bulbs and Kogan were trying to upsell their hub which isn't needed.Seems that the wifi model is distinct from the Bluetooth version as listed above, which does need the hub to operate.
I have used both versions. Both do not need hub to operate.
I just went to resubmit this deal until I realised it was a duplicate - these bulbs are now available with the FREESHIP code which makes the deal even better!
Didn't think, just bought! I wonder if they'll fit anything…
Thanks OP :)
