  • Can someone remind me how to use these at JB and EB? Ie: Requires being in store as online orders don't work?

    • +1

These have ccv's and pins, you use them as normal credit cards. Issue is using the remaining balance on a card like this is very difficult, though you can add it to your mobile wallet, e.g. apple pay

    Bought and tracked. Thx OP.

  • Thinking of joining my muscle chef subscription. This is useful. Thanks

I'm seeing 3% base Cashback only.

      3% of $125 = $3.75

    No Uber, no thanks.

The last Ultimate GC I purchased from DB could not be loaded to an e-wallet, despite numerous attempts.

    • Contact support. They fixed one of mine that didn't work at a store.

    • I’m having the same issue now after buying from this post

    • Are you running a VPN? That was my issue.

  • Can it be used as a credit card at eBay/Amazon/super markets/petro station/utilities? I don't see any of those listed as options.

    • +1

If it's not listed, it can't be done.

  • +1

JB Hi-Fi is a participating retailer and that's all I wanted to see… Thanks OP !!

  • Does this work at retailers other than those listed?

    • +1

Definitely not, I would check here as well:
      https://www.ultimategiftcards.com.au/card/everyone/
Lesson learnt the last time I bought the Ultimate HIM gift card from the Amazon promotion.

Retailers differ from in-store, online, and what you can exchange gift card vouchers for.

  • Just realised additional card for westpac has the same card details as the primary. Therefore it is not possible for an additional cardholder to sign up to the Westpac perk if primary already links theirs?

    • If the card has the same numbers then no. If the additional card has a different set of numbers then it would work.

      • I think Westpac has the same numbers for additional cardholders unlike Amex.

        • Correct.

  • Anyone have any issues redeeming the card?

Trying to redeem at officeworks online and keeps declining.

    • Are you buying something more than $125?
What happened to me when trying to buy $103 from H&M, but spent it on a JB Hi-Fi purchase for $74.60.
EDIT: my card was an ultimate HIM card for $100, so "declined" because I was over the limit I believe.

      • Buying under the limit.

        • +1

umm okay, then best to reach out to their (UltimateGiftCard) support to have a look at the card they gave you.
I had to do it last time as well because of the myriad of issues.
Ultimate cards are a pain to deal with, was the consensus.

          • @K33N: So difficult to use…. had to go in store….. not worth the 11%

            • @cuy: Not all retailers accept the Ultimate gift cards online.

Officeworks has always been an in store use only. JB can use both online and in store but if you’re using it online, the total purchase has to be under the card value as it acts like a credit card

  • @bargaingrabber How does someone know when the limit of 1800 has been reached before purchasing?

    • You need to activate/start this challenge via the shopback app like OP said, the info you want is right below the start button.

I bought some of these GC in a past promotion and they're the most difficult cards I've used. Trying to retrieve them continued to come up error over and over. Finally retireved them and wouldn't add to wallet. Finally added to wallet and then it wanted me to rerify them but again error in trying to retrieve. Have tried tonuse online and can't use if over the amount. No options to split payment. So I still have the damn cards because everytime I tried I ended up running into an issue and paying by my card instead.

Exact same thoughts - I bought a few $50 Ultimate Eat and Ultimate Thanks gift cards and they are so hard to use. Need to register/type in my name/address. Then you can't use more than 1 card but also cannot pay the balance with another form of payment, meaning that I need to get my charge to be as close to $50 as possible. If I use part of my card say $30, then I'm left with $20 which is even harder to use for things like Menulog.

Will never buy these cards again. I still have all 5 cards I bought that's unused/partially used.

Agree these are a massive pain; between registering, filling out captcha-like tests multiple times and and issues adding to digital wallet.

Best way I've found to use them is to exchange them to the store gift card direct just to save the hassle of dealing with the EFTPOS version of the card.
Look for the link here: https://imgur.com/a/JmFyOca
Sends you off to Blackhawknetwork where you can do the swap like Prezzee, True Rewards/Choice, etc.

  • Would it be possible to use this with for a JB HiFi purchase around $500 or better to convert it to a JB card?

    • If you're exchanging in store, it doesn't matter, just Google/Apple/Samsung/whatever pay as split payments. If online, yes, exchange to JB cards as there is a limit on eftpos/credit cards but not gift cards.

  • I successfully added my Ultimate Everyone Gift Card to Google Wallet to use in-store. Google Wallet prompts me to update to use the card online and verify card info. I entered the 3-digital CCV from myprepaidcentre.com.au as the Security Code field in Google Wallet. But I got "An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later."

Anyone knows where do I get the security code?

You need to have added it to your wallet via the mobile app "My Prepaid Center".

If you don't already have the app installed, that link should take you to the store which then makes you install it, not sure if it auto-launches it and loads the card info. If it doesn't, click the link again, this time it will launch the app, and you will be given the option to add it to your mobile wallet. This will add it properly to your wallet.

      • Thanks for your info.
I added it to my Google Wallet as you described. However, my wallet can only be used in-store but not online. My wallet cannot be enabled to pay online.

This card is such a pain to use. Won't be buying it again.

Initially, I was able to view the card but while trying to use it online, it didn't work. So abandoned that idea.

Now I want to try to convert it to a store GC but I can't view the card now.

Your eGift could not be retrieved at this time. Please try again later.

I've been trying to view it for days now. Submitted a ticket to support but it is asking for the card's PCN number. I don't even have that now.

    • Yes I have this issue as well. Can you please update with their answer?

      • It turns out that I had already registered the card. Have you already done that to yours? If unsure, search through your email for "My Prepaid Centre Card Registration Success".

So now I can see the card but having issues signing up or logging in so that I can add it to my Wallet app.

        • Thanks. That helped.

          • @Yola: Were you able to go on to the next step? Adding the card to your profile or to your Wallet app?

            • @lomie: Yes, thank you for asking. Got it into the wallet. My problem was I had created more than one Myprepaid center account. Sorted it out on the web first. On iphone I added the card into my ewallet by copying the card number, expiry and ccv manually. Hope that helps.

              • @Yola: Got it entered into the Wallet app by entering the details manually as a credit/debit card now. Thank you.

                • @lomie: No worries you helped me too.
