For those on PC, the current cheapest price anywhere is off Eneba for around ~$14 or so.

Off an official store, the current cheapest is off Humble for $17.

Hmm, historical low for PC was $0. It was free on Epic last year.

PS store has better game prices than Nintendo (who doesn't), and has finally got some OK prices in sales in recent years, but it's still a bit of a shock sometimes seeing how much better PC game prices can be. (Not that switching to PC is a good idea right now, with GPUs still triple their usual prices).

Nice find OP, I was lucky enough to get it with PS+ a while ago. Very good game, gameplay is fun, haptic feedback is great and the story was really well done

    • Same, loved the game on ps4, lore and everything. Expansions were quite fun too. Would love to play it on PS5

      • I loved the lore, the world, the whole set up was awesome. Sadly I found the game itself a bit lacking… it was OK, but got very repetitive, ended up getting bored and giving up before finishing it.

    • Didn't you find the acting terrible? Not so-bad-it's-funny like Resident Evil on the PS2, just.. off-putting.

Excellent game, well worth the price.

  • Should I get this on PS5 or PC? Is one version better in terms of controls and game play?

    • +2

It's the usual considerations. Depending on your pc it'll look better, but probably no dualsense force feedback (you'd need to check). I played it on PC, no regrets. Check you don't already have it on Epic.

Just checked and I already have it in my PS+ library 🙄

        Oops

Hopefully you redeemed the Ultimate Edition. Will get free PS5 upgrade with DualSense features that make it well worthwhile and both expansion packs that are arguably better than the base game itself. I loved the game and looking forward to sequel, enjoy it!

Got it free from Epic, excellent game. Can't wait for the sequel

FYI.. Currently on PS+ Extra (normal edition)

Love this game. The story really worked for me and the rest was great too.

Gerbil took the top head! Brilliant. Everyone needs to play that sidequest.

The Ashtray Maze level though… Utterly fantastic!

  • Cheaper than buying the season pass

Control: Ultimate Edition was a PS Plus 'free' game back in Feb 2021. If you have previously collected it, Sony store won't let you purchase this I reckon.

  • This is one of those games that cheating ruined for me.

    • +1

Doesn't cheating ruin the fun of most games?

      • +1

It does. I gues it depends on the game's story and what you want from the game. I just breezed through The Plague: Requiem using cheats and I enjoyed every second of it.

  • Disturbing game when played at night with headphones. Lots of creepy satanic-like voices and evil stuff. If you like relaxing games, this isn't it. Really nice level design though, the architecture and details are good.

    • Lots of creepy satanic-like voices and evil stuff.

      Specially if you're playing backwards.

I think I saw the trailer for this game on youtube before it was released.

It's the game where you are a girl with psychic powers right??

IT IS. Omg this game makes me want to pickup gaming.

    • If you're new to gaming this may be quite a big step into the gaming scene, there are lots of other games that would probably be better for entry level, just so they don't scare you off!

I'm thinking a good entry point are games like Portal, or I'm sure others can recommend some.

Was looking forward to this from the great reviews but all it is, is a run and shoot game. Occasionally use force power to throw objects. Levels are really similar and no backstory, you just start off in a building. No idea how this was nominated for game of the year. To me it is extremely generic. Also its free with PS subscription (Deluxe and Extra).

    • +2

No backstory? The entire game is about filling in the backstory….

At the start you have no idea whats going on and slowly are drip fed info. But its not really done in an intriguing way, more contrived and lazy. Main girl is bad with her voice acting, constantly talking to herself which doesn't help. If you like simple shooters, its fine. To me it was very disappointing

lol if u break down all games are go here, talk to this, shoot that, go back and do it again. Dumbing down games only shows lack of brains and doesn't make you look smarter. U only end up not enjoying anything and being a sob.

    • Did you finish the game?
