Was watching this after it dropped to $69, and then went back up to $79. Now down to a new all time low according to camel camel camel. Not sure how realistic the RRP is.

$50…. Bought - Not sure if I'll use it but could make for a fun cheap date!

    • +2

I got it with the intention of using it with my son.

Comments on Amazon suggests that the boat may be a bit small for two adults. Perhaps a snuggly date?

      • +2

        Perhaps a snuggly date?

And why would anyone say no to that?

    • Can always return easy with amazon

    • I'm so sorry dude. Maybe instead try a girl? This option ain't going to like you back.

  • +1

Similar to the crappy cheap thing you can get at KMart or Bunnings?

    • +1

This brand also appears to be sold at BCF (unsure whether that indicates quality) and this comment on another post indicates satisfaction with another product by the brand.

    • +1

Reading comments on Amazon led me to believe it should be better quality, and more stable (ie. Someone put dogs in it).

      • +4

But the existential question need to be asked.

        Who let the dogs out.

    • Better quality and weight rating. Don't get me wrong, the anko one is already good. My anko already lasted 2 summers and still ok, though the paddles broke in half. Bought this when it was 69 on amazon. Will use its paddles for the mean time until my anko finally gives.. plus, the option to place a trolling motor on it is a plus..

Intex Challenger Kayaks are also on sale:

    • K1 $83.98
    • K2 $125.98
    • I never understood buying those when for not much more you can get a second hand kayak that will last on marketplace.

      • +8

For those who don't have roof racks and storage space.

      • +2

        Um inflatable and portable.

Those are pretty big reasons for me.

        I don't live in a mansion. I don't have roof racks or a ute.

  • I am still not sure to buy it

    • +1

When in doubt. Do the ozB thing and just buy.

    • +1

You have purchase paralysis. Very serious condition for an OzBargainer.

      • +2

If left untreated could lead to FOMO.

        • …which could make you angry and irritable. You'd be a FOMO MOFO and your friends would hate you.

  • Any life jacket deal now everyone owns a boat/kayak?

    • No. Just a tiktok account/youtube account. To post that you're on a boat.

    • Would also be keen on a life jacket…

  • +2

Perfect for the next flood season

    • See. Foward thinking

    Price went up

  • I had one of these before moving to the K2 Kayak. It was a lot of fun for the kids and is quite durable. I also used it with my mate (2 adults) and had a paddle around the lake - although not suitable for 2 adults we managed and had a laugh. I have also taken it down some basic creek rapids and it held up well against the rocks (for those of you that know it was at Biggreggin in QLD 1 hour from Brisbane).
If you want something more rugged and good for 2 adults as well - get the K2, it has back harnesses and it much faster across water.

  • Thanks all….

Folks in Sydney probably bought all of it.

  • The Intex 3-person Challenger is $78 (54% off). It's larger and doesn't have the annoying fishing pole supports.

  • I'll wait for it to drop price again

  • Damn, missed out!

    Intex Inside
