I was about to buy until I saw that it's not made with titanium, but titanium is the name of the colour of this pen.

      Actually wanted this one: https://www.parkerpen.com/collections/essential/parker-im/pa…

      But could'nt find it.

For the money - I'd not expect a full titanium pen tbh… nor would I expect it to be from the France factory. Last time I bought a Parker that was made in France, I think it was about $650. Still got it tucked away in the box in my desk. Love the thing!

      In case this helps…

      • I already have a Jotter XL in monochrome matte black. Thank you for the press release to show me the new releases are… monochrome and has PVD coatings that still look glossy?

How is this functionally better than my jotter xl?

        • +1

Depends on your hands and what feels more comfortable. Plus, the aesthetics are also personal. Functionally, they're both pens.

        • No idea.
          Ha!
Was just to confirn the earlier comment about it being a Ti finish or Ti material pen. Ha!

        • Sorry mate is XL for your hand size or is it related to the writing

wanted to buy one but I have small hands

          • @AussieMark: It's the size of the pen, it's a tiny bit wider and longer. I have medium hands but have always prefered larger pens. But I wouldn't even consider the jotter xl to be big, it's pretty much a normal pen. The og jotter is just small.

      Not using a HB pencil? (;

  • Cannot double up the vouchers

  • Do people still buy fountain pens?

    • +1

      Yes

      • TBH its become so rare I guess. I could probably try and find someone using a sony phone but not a fountain pen. Havent see anyone using these in last 10+ years or so.

        • +1

          Well hello there!

          • @notJV: Why do you use fountain pen over ball point pen?

            • @[Deactivated]: It writes better, as I dont scribble, like I could using a ballpen. I care about how my handwriting looks. I keep 2 fountain pens on my desk for everyday use.

              • @notJV: Ah true, thanks for the reply :)

        • Yes well i have filled 50 pages with my name. Coz i bought a fountain pen for $15 from ali express with refill cartridges.

        • I have mechanical keyboards, notepads and fountain pens at my work desk.

People look at me funny for having multiple keyboards (be fair one's for the phone which I use exclusively for texting clients), and using fountain pens.

          • @iridiumstem: I think I should do it too. If I keep a ball point pen at my desk, it mysteriously vanishes on the day I WFH ;)

            • @[Deactivated]: The horror stories I have heard about people who have their fountain pen stolen or abused by coworkers…

I think the reason I get away in my case is that our office is fairly small. No one really cares about how others work, and we also respect other people's happy places and don't invade that.

I also do keep ballpoint pens in case someone needs a pen (fountain pens are delicate little things, and you can easily damage them). There is a good reason behind why they are relics of the past.

              • @iridiumstem: Ours is a small office too. It still happens. Therre are plenty in the cupboard, but people are just lazy to walk up till there to pick one up.

Ya I know how delicate they are, during our junior school days that was what we had to use. Ball bens were banned.

happened in my small office as well. because i was only there part time, whenever i came back into the office, i'd find one or more of: pens missing, mouse missing, keyboard missing….and once my whole computer and monitor was gone.

so i'd always have the crappy pens around, but not before chewing TF out of them first (i'm not normally a pen-chewer). then when the inevitable "do you have a pen?" gets asked, i point to them while pretending to chew on my own.

                  • @tdw: lol.

                • +2

@[Deactivated]: Yeah, in that case, I think don't get a fountain pen would be my advice, you will end with a sprung nib in record time.

The amount of horror stories that I've seen on Facebook groups is insane.

    • More as a hobby, I think.

  • This model is out of stock, however, plenty of others still discounted here…
