15% off Multi-Policy Discount for Three Eligible Policies @ Suncorp Insurance

60

My home insurance is up for renewal, so I looked around to find a better deal. I found out that Suncorp insurance have a 15% multi policy discount (plus $50 off when you do a quote and sign up online). You need 3 policies with them, but home and contents insurance is counted as 2 policies. Their price before discount is similar to my current insurer (AAMI), so I saved 15%.
(I search OzBargain and I couldn't find anyone posting this before. My apologies if it is a duplicate.)

This is pretty much normal for most insurance companies

Would say this is for the forum…

If you have 3 insurance products from them, you're already being robbed enough. You deserve this 15%.

Also remember when Suncorp had a decent reward portal that had discounted gift cards, and then was shut down last year pending "a new reward system coming"? Where is that now?

    • Thank you. Would you be able to recommend another decent company that I should take out my insurance with? I have a cooling period, so I am very happy if everyone can recommend a better company.

        Australia Post with 14% cb

        • Australia Post with 14% cashback gives a very good price and was my second cheapest option. Only slightly beaten by Bupa Home&Contents insurance. If you are a Bupa Health Insurance member you can get 2 months Home&Contents insurance free which works out to be the cheapest 12 months H&C cover for me.

Didn't it used to be 2 insurance products and you got a 15% discount?

  • Are they better than NRMA?

      No!

    • Depends where you live.
Ive found GIO much better at paying out claims.

Their insurance seems so very expensive - so 15 percent is the least this conglomerate can do - pass……….

  • I am with Bingle (Suncorp) and had a someone reverse into my parked car, at fault drivers details and contact confirmed and ready to pay and Bingle are refusing to fix my vehicle unless I use their repairer, even though they are NOT paying or repairing the vehicle as per page 18 of PDS

    • Yes, they are paying to repair your vehicle. Bingle will pay to repair damage caused to your vehicle under insured events. Read your PDS to understand the contract between you and Bingle.

If you don't want Bingle to pay to repair your vehicle, withdraw your claim and send a letter of demand to the person who reversed into your car.

  • I think when I signed up with AAMI car insurance they offered me 40% off Home and Contents. The car insurance price wasn't great but over $400 off my home insurance sure as hell made up for it…

  • Good timing, mines up for renewal with Budget and this works out to be the same however includes more. Also FYI for anyone in QLD. Queensland CTP counts as 1 policy. This is a no brainer seeing as it makes no difference and they give you a gift card for switching CTP to them. So home and contents with CTP = 3 policies.

  • If you're an existing Suncorp customer then you'll get a better price with a brand new policy each year since they won't offer renewals at the best available price.

Not talking about multi policy, but, couldn't find a cheaper company than Allianz for home insurance. Suncorp was very expensive, even being current customer with my home loan with them.

  • Great except their Policies increased 40% + this year

  • Just got my Suncorp renewal with a 38% increase! No claims either and not in a flood or fire risk area. Time to start shopping around!
