      Updates every half second but could take several secinds to go from room temp to very hot if using to get an instant temp rather than leaving it in while cooking. Has a great feature where it will tell you the air temp of the oven as well as the temp of your meat.

  Anyone know if this one works on induction cooktops? I found most of the 'instant read' thermocouple thermometers dont work as the strong magnetic field makes the thermometer reading go bonkers.
