Sennheiser PXC 550-II Wireless Headphones $199 Delivered @ JB Hi-Fi (In-Store Only)

60

Sennheiser outlet has been refilled with some deals. These are great, lacking a few things though namely USB C port and dedicated app for tuning sound and EQ.
Refurbished available at Sennheiser Outlet for $249.95 Delivered

Also have some other good deals

Including the momentum 3 for $300 which do have app support and USB C.

Have had a good experience with sennheiser refurbished in the past so can't fault.

The Momentum 3s are also available in Sennheiser Outlet via Cashrewards for those who are interested in those specifically.

Found a decent comparison here

Last time i got a refurb it had earwax and was faulty as well. Not thanks

    • Yeah fair enough I think it's a luck of the draw. I've purchased 3 sets from them in the past and all have been great.

    • Headphones or earphones?

    • oh that’s disgusting

      • Yeah i'm with you on that one! Anything refurbished, be it pc parts, tv's, headsets, power tools…. nothing should ever be sold not cleaned. It can have cosmetic damage like a scratch that won't affect the purpose/use of the item, but there should never be any biological remains from someones skull lol

Keep in mind there's a bluetooth codec leap coming that won't be applied to these, but I still rate the value of this headphone as solid at $199.

    • Is there a way to unpublish?

      • Just edit the deal and update the title/ link to Jb and credit jasswolf

        • Turns out this can't be done

Not worth it for Refurb these are $200 new .

  • I have thease and they are good but the auto pause disconnects and plays up ( turn it off in app) and they work fine again

  • I've had these for two years and am looking to move to the XM4s. My biggest gripe with them is the stock earpads, they wear down after only a few months of use and all the replacements that you'll find on ebay/amazon, while they have better durability, take away the ANC somewhat. On top of that, the stock earpads are $50, but Sennheiser told me they've discontinued them anyway.

Other than that, I loved these headphones for the time I've had them. They're so comfortable, the ANC is pretty good and the sound is nice and balanced. But it's time to move on.

    • "My biggest gripe with them is the stock earpads, they wear down after only a few months of use"

Weird how this is a thing even from Sennheiser.

I have a pair of non ANC Creative SXFI Air headphones, and while the earpads are fine after a year of use the headband started to crumble away a thin layer.
I guess the compnay just made the mistake of who they source the part from (poor quality).

Got new headphones for Christmas, thanks anyway.

  • Is there much difference to v1?

Codec support and improved detail, but not enough to chase around town for a pair.

New bluetooth tech is about to start appearing, some current models will get an update that sees their quality jump up (if your connecting device supports it), though I'd expect brand new models to take things a step further.

Bluetooth LE Audio and LC3Plus low latency are the terms you want to be looking out for.

      • Thanks. I'll wait for the next gen models. Cheers!

  • Is this deal finished as the link is dead
