    Mmmm subway meatballs.

  • are there any exclusions for this? it doesn't say anything on the cash rewards page

    • Nope.

  • Does the card have to be ANZ Bank?

    • Why would it?

    • No

  • This didn't track during last deal but TA sorted it.

  • Anyone having issue with instore purchase tracking via cashrewards? Lately two of mine did not track.

    • In-store tracking takes up to 14 days. All depends on terminal and bank that the CC is aligned with.

    • Just email them with your dockets, after 4-5 transaction numbers they will work out the automation at your store, now mine continuously track.

  • It said 3.5% not 30%

    • Check back tomorrow.

    • +2

You're a little early buddy, the deal doesn't commence until tomorrow so yes it will show 3.5% until then

  • Thanks OP

Is there a cap on the cashback amount?

    • +1

Not from what I can see.

  • Not sure about other people but last time I tried an instore cashback at subway, it didnt track… hopefully it has gotten better.

    • I found once you report the same place a few times they work out the automation

  • I never got my 50% cashback from the last one.

So what does $15 buy you? I can't find any info on how much anything costs in Subway, the website was clearly made in Dreamweaver back in the 90s.

    • Google will tell you. It's possible each store may different. I don't eat bread so I don't visit often.

I'd say a footlong, drink and cookie… or a few cookies.

      • Huh that's nifty, thanks. Guess Google does know everything lol

    • wow, you weren't kidding regarding their site. Anyway their online ordering page looks time appropriate. It has the price as well if you just want to hit the $15 limit.

      • Ah that's a much better site, thanks :)

        • Also shows prices in the app.

    • To be honest best value would be like 2x footlong or 1xfootlong, and 1 6inch. (Drinks and cookies are just not worth the price IMO)

  • +1

Good deal, But only thing is $15 min spend man. So essentially making customers either buy meal (just a cookie and drink), or more subs. If there was no $15 min spend will definitely would have bought it (may be multiple times)

    • +2

Yeah a bit sucky if you're on your own. Good for a family being uncapped

    • Most of the footlongs are over $15 now anyway…

Edit: Alright I see that there's some wild price differences between some stores. My local are taking the piss.

    • +2

I'm guessing you can buy gift cards in store? Not sure the min you can load but a $10 gift card can get you over $15. As there's no cap it'd be a good idea to buy loads giving you basically 30% off gift cards

      • Good luck last time I tried to buy Subway Gift Cards in store I went to five different stores in Brisbane and none of them had it.

      • +1

Great, why didn't I think of this earlier

      • Just got a $10 sub and $20 GC, hope it would track fine now.

        • Great report back regarding tracking

          • @sub102: tracked today correctly, and
yeah basically 30% of gift card is best option (as some subway stores have different pricing, so buy GC from that one selected store, and spend other place where meal is cheaper)

            • @USER DC: Yay thanks for reporting back! Yeah if there's no cap next time that's the way to go

  • Worth combining this deal with the $19.95 2 Footlongs deal after 3PM (or 4PM?) if your local offers it.

  • Might be better off with the off peak EatClub deals which are normally 40% for a lot of Subway stores.

  • Can you link an AMEX?

  • We’re sorry, we can’t find the page you are looking for.
    Back to home

    • All g now

  • My local store doesn't seem to accept. I've been to others that have tracked but not my local does this seem right or does it need to be raised with TA?

    • Keep in mind that the Cashrewards page says Selected stores only. I can see a number of Subway locations on the Cashrewards page that are not listed as participating locations.

If your local Subway is listed as a participating location on the Cashrewards page and cashback does not track after 14 days, it is definitely worth reaching out to Cashrewards to get them to investigate further.

      • +1

Thanks for the reply. My local store is on there but never tracked so I'll have to raise it next time.

  • Remember to double dip (however many percent) with your Subcard/app

  • Can i use paypal for this offer ?

    • +2

You can't use PayPal in store. Has to be a linked card.

      • Thanks for making that clear :)

  • Thanks OP

  • Can I use Google pay?

    • +1

As long as the card is linked it should be fine.

    • I Strongly doubt it,
      why ?
Because when you use Google pay, it reports a different card number to merchants than your original card, (see any of your tap and pay receipts, last 4 digits will be different).
This is reason why I took physical Mastercard to purchase this one.

Only bypass I think would be is if you were to link your google wallet's digital card number to Cashrewards (I dont think Google displays full digital card number that it uses)

      • +1

Thanks, I ended up using the physical card as well. Still not tracked though, think it might take a while.

  • Can I order in app, pay by card link and pick up in selected store?

    • +1

      No.

This is an instore only offer, where you have to use the linked card on the physical EFTPOS terminal in the store to be eligible for this offer.

If you order via the app, you will not be using the store’s physical EFTPOS terminal to pay for your order, which will mean you will not be eligible for this offer.

  • +1

Oh wow - this tracked instantly.

    • You making me nervous dude, I linked card before buying. I didn't get it instantly (perhaps depends on bank, and date the card was added too)

      • I linked my card about 20minutes before I went in. What bank are you with? I used one of my NAB credit card.

        • Used a Westpac CC, still not tracked, linked like 30-60 mins before purchase

  • Link discounted Ultimate Eats card to CR for further savings

    • That is probably a bad idea.

Clause 20.b.xix of the CR terms and conditions states:

      “Payment Card” means any current Scheme provider branded credit card or debit card but excludes any Scheme provider branded gift card, any cancelled, expired, suspended or otherwise invalid Scheme provider card, and any other Scheme provider card as advised by the relevant Scheme provider from time to time;

An Ultimate Eats gift card is a prepaid Visa (or EFTPOS) gift card, so you would be running the risk of having no cashback credited to you (or having any cashback initially credited to you reversed at a later date).

      • I had my cashback approved from the 50% cashback last time after using an OnlyOne Fast Food card.

  • is it safe to link credit card to Cash Rewards? does it mean they will scan/read all of my Visa transactions ?

    • They can't see. It's all through VISA, MasterCard or EFTPOS.

      • Thanks, Just trying to understand the process of how they pull the transaction details and how they know if it happened at participating store.

        • One of the three partners above will report the transaction to CR.

          • @Clear: Hope it's all Safe and Secured :)

  • As I suspected was the case, my local had a ~15-20% surcharge for Australia Day yesterday, prices back down again now.

  • hadn't tracked yet, been more than 2hrs. Hopefully it tracks, dropped close to $50 on this deal :)

    • The obvious question is that it was definitely a participating restaurant listed on CR?

      • oh yea, Westfield Parramatta is listed. However there are 2 stores in the mall but CR doesn't specific which one, so I am assuming it is both.

        • Cool. Could take up to 14 days for it to report in. All depends on terminal and bank that the CC is aligned with.

  • Mine still tracked even though I didn't actually pay… my local were having issues with their EFTPOS terminal so I couldn't get the payment to go through. Left with my food still but I need to go back sometime soon to pay once their terminal is working properly again. @tightarse What would happen now if go back to pay on Sunday or later?

  • 1645hrs

My local ran out of foot longs….and half foot longs. Basically all bread really

Kinda pointless really. Left empty handed without buying anything.
$15 for a foot long is definitely getting pricey…..

30% cashback is a bit helpful, but still, no wonder I don't frequent the sub way any other time

    • Yeah I'll only get Subway now with these decent cashback offers or when they offer free 6-inch subs or something on the rare occasion. Bought a meatball Footlong + 3 cookies for ~$16, after cashback ~$12 which makes it not too bad when combined with the 10% off OnlyOne Fast Food card I used. Also their bread is noticeably thinner than years ago (they can't make them shorter in length of course so that's their way of shrinking it).

  • Would this work if you bought a gift card in store and topped it up?

  • I checked last night that my credit card was still linked (it has been linked for years) and then put through an order at my local Subway this morning (one of the participating stores). I didn't get any tracking email all day so I went to check my CR account and saw that both the linked credit cards have disappeared. When I tried linking the same card it keeps timing out. Has anyone else had this issue?

    • Yes the same. Checked the linked card before purchase, and had previous purchases successfully tracked.
After purchase had no tracking notification, so checked this morning and the card was no longer linked. But it did link again successfully.

      • Card unlinked again.

    • No no unlinking type issue, But the purchase has still not tracked yet for some reason I am doubting the instore subway tracking (I know repco instore was working fine (because I used to get surprised for my normal purchases being on Cashrewards))

  • I linked my card and purchased 2 footlongs and when I check my account after purchase, the link card is getting unlinked? what happend?

  • Bought 2 footlongs. Cashier only charged 1 but lucky I got some cookies which pushed it over $15. Tracked instantly.

    • but lucky I got some cookies which pushed it over $15

you already saved technically more than 30% by only being charged for 1 footlong
