AliExpress 20% Cashback on Affiliate Products ($15 Cap Per Member, 7pm-11pm AEDT 21/01/23) @ Cashrewards

1520

Just in time for Lunar New Year is a big cashback increase for AliExpress at Cashrewards kicking off at 7pm until 11pm AEDT on the 21st. It's been quite a while since we've had an increase on cashback for AliExpress.

In my experience cashback stacks with AliExpress/Seller Coupons and it'll definitely stack with the current US$3 off US$30 spend promotion.

My recommendations are that you ensure you confirm delivery once your order is received as that releases the funds to the seller and if you have the option of choosing "AliExpress Standard Shipping" then it's sometimes worth paying a little bit extra (if it's not already free) since it'll take 2-3 weeks for the order to arrive.

Special Terms

Important: Cashback is eligible only on purchase of affiliate products. Check product eligibility on this link by entering the product ID or URL. Ensure you then click 'Shop Now' through Cashrewards prior to purchase. Claims will not be accepted for purchase of non-affiliate products.

Cashback is ineligible on purchase of face masks, medical consumables, gift cards, virtual products, coupons, travel, ebooks, AliExpress Top-up, and any non-affiliate AliExpress products.

Empty your cart prior to clicking from Cashrewards. Add items to your cart after clicking from Cashrewards.

Confirmation of delivery or goods received must be made on AliExpress within 90 days of placing your order to be eligible for cashback.

You must return and click through Cashrewards for each new transaction.

    Thanks Clear.

I've got a couple of small things that needed replacing which never arrived.

Just filed a few disputes a few minutes ago. Items tracked as delivered but on closer inspection they were delivered to Qld not NSW. The items now show as "opps, this item is no longer available". I think this is my first shifty tracking number, and I've been using AE for maybe 5 years and hundreds of transactions.

Not concerned as I'll get my money back but now I need to reorder and I don't have enough crap in the cart for the current S&S promotion.

So perfect timing, but I guess it will only save me $2-3, but better than nothing.

Out of curiosity what is the seller feedback %? OzBargain prohibits deals from any stores below 95% and that's usually a good indication the store is less reliable.

      • +3

I've been telling people, look at the sellers feedback out of 100, take off 90 and that's their feedback out if 10. So a 91.8 is actually a 1.8/10

I think in my case it was probably some new seller with a few followers and zero feedback.

For curiosity it was just some silicone large ice cube markers. The seller had them for sub $5 where everyone else was more like $7. Needed two so it was worth a go.

I'll be pissed if my dispute is rejected, but it seems pretty clear that the seller was dishonest.

On more valuable items I place much more weight on the seller.

        • +2

I had 3 purchases consolidated by Aliexpress into 1 package (so I know it wasn't due to bad sellers) and then it went missing in transit. Standard shipping, not super economy.

Even though the tracking shows it has not been delivered, Aliexpress judged my claims as invalid. Not sure what the logic is there if any.

Don't trust Aliexpress, they can do whatever they want. There are no rules or morals and there's nothing you can do about it.

          • @bobjane: AliExpress does do / manage shipping for some of the sellers now (think of it as Amazon shipping items for sellers (without Prime of course)). Problem is, if a seller elects to use such service, then it is much harder for you as a buyer to win item not delivered case. The reason is that AliExpress logistics is the plantiff AND AliExpress customer service the judge.

With item shipped through AliExpress (which AliExpress could consolidate the items into 1 bigger satchel), even if the last leg delivery company elected not to update the tracking information for you, if they notified AliExpress they have delivered it, you will most likely lose item not received case.

So, if the item is shipped using AliExpress standard method, bear in mind it will be you vs AliExpress with item not delivered case. However, for an item not as described, AliExpress tends to look after the buyer.

            • @netsurfer: I contacted the last leg delivery company and they claim to have never gotten the package, much less delivered it. Aliexpress still denied the claims, if that's not broken I don't know what is.

        • Usually not worth going with the absolute cheaper price for this reason, pay a bit more and sort by number of sales.

Btw I noticed coles sells those giant ice cube silicon trays $3.50

          • @G-rig: Surely you cou,d file a Paypal dispute if Ali doesn't come to the party? (Assuming that you paid via Paypal)

            • @Tennessee Jack: dunno i haven' thad an issue with the stuff i've got from there, depends on the buyer and product though, have to do your research.

            • @Tennessee Jack: Did you reply to the wrong person?

              • @netsurfer: Yeah, I just meant to reply in line to the current sub-thread. Sorry about that.

            • @Tennessee Jack: Yes I am planning to file a Paypal dispute, but this will likely result in my Aliexpress account being banned. Therefore I'm waiting for all of my outstanding Aliexpress orders to arrive before doing so.

          • +1

@G-rig: It's more about AliExpress Standard Shipping (which is managed mostly by AliExpress). When it works, it's generally decent. The problem is when it doesn't work.

            • AliExpress is the judge so… you can guess the outcome on item(s) not received.
            • AliExpress will consolidate your items purchased around the same time (maybe even a few days apart), especially for cheaper items.
            • If the seller offers other shipping methods, choosing those would give you better chance of winning item not received cases.

Our local sellers aren't all good either in terms of packaging or speed. Even Myer sent me something with minimum packaging, resulted in the box being slightly damaged.

            • @netsurfer: Yeah fair enough - i've been fairly lucky i guess, but helps with good/well know sellers.
These days stuff seems to turn up in 2-3 weeks instead of 5-6 from China.

        • Good in theory, but almost never see anyone over 95ish.

        • How do u come up with that lol

    • +1

Here is a live chat link where you'll get an actual person:
      https://alimebot.aliexpress.com/intl/index.htm?from=cYFtu2ay…

It didn't help me though, I showed them all the evidence they asked for and they just flat out stonewalled me.

      • That links to their bot chat that is almost more circular than it is useless.

Had a refund issued by a seller, that never made it to me from 2 years ago.

Just out of principle pursued it via this bot chat, email addresses I found and the original seller, but was stonewalled at every step, with no refund ever making it back to me.

Paypal was past the dispute period by the time I'd exhausted all the usual avenues with Aliexpress.

Luck of the draw though, as everything else I've purchased through Ali over about a decade now has been delivered in a decent timeframe considering the price and is generally fit for purpose.

Many cheaper priced Ebay sellers are drop ship from China anwyay, even if they claim to be local, so if you're prepared to take the risks for often decent price savings, then chances are there will be the odd mishap from anything shipped from China.

Have had almost as many mishaps with AusPost though, so overall can't be too unhappy with Ali.

        • I totally agree. I spent about 2 hours with their live chat and got nowhere. All evidence and logic they just flat out ignore.

For example they tell you to appeal the dispute ruling and attach evidence. Except when you make the appeal there is no way to attach files and pictures. Then they deny the appeal citing no evidence provided… when there's no way to attach evidence!

Did Paypal find in your favour? Asking because I find Paypal acts in their own best interest and I can't see them going against such a big customer as Aliexpress.

          • @bobjane: No, Paypal were just as useless, although they have been good with other sellers I had clear cut disputes with.

Paypal used the we can't do anything until you've appealed with Ali, which took forever due to their endless circular loops of customer service (oxymoron).

Paypal then then just went with the time to dispute has expired, so bad luck, even though I flagged it to them well before the expiry time and they advised to exhaust with Ali before continuing the dispute with them.

For the $ lost, not worth wasting any more time on, especially compared to the $ saved over a decade.

You win some, you lose some :-).

            • @opposablethumbs: It's the risk you take with these dodgy sites and sellers for cheap items.. otherwise just go to the supermarket.

The example above is ridiculous as you can get silicon ice cube trays from Coles cheaper and straight away.

    • They always close and relist, smaller sellers. Half dodgy and half dodgy software.

  • Can someone work out the maximum purchase amount in USD to maximise the $15 cashback cap? Terrible at maths.

    • +3

20% is 1/5 of 100. So all you need to do is multiply 15 by 5. $75

      • +4

        20% is 1/5 of any number…

        • -4

100% is what I meant. Just trying to explain it logically. But thanks Cap Obvious.

        • Yes but only 20 is 1/5 of 100 which is what a percentage is, fraction of 100.

    • $15 / 20% = $75 [max cashback amount / cashback percentage = required amount to get max cashback]

You can use any calculator [15 ÷ 20% =], including the one on your phone. Even google works:
      $15 / 20%

    • +2

      ""Terrible at maths."

Is it safe to assume the sellers won't ship the products until after the Chinese New Year (Jan 28th onwards)? Or are the Aliexpress warehouse still operating during this time?

    • +1

That's a safe assumption. Many big sellers have their away periods on their store pages.

    • +1

      USB mug warmer

    • +2

automatic foaming soap dispenser, can also choose 3 different stages of foam amounts

rotating tray to reach the condiment and sauce bottles at the back

cheaper 'lego'. lots of designs, quality is fine. baseplates, motors and lighting sets

I've gotten lots of kitchen tools that've been very handy to have

      • Care to share link of the automatic soap dispenser?

        • +1

hope this link works, previous comment wouldn't post

I didn't realise I paid that much for it, but at least it's 20% off! Great for when you've just cut raw meat or when you have sauce or dirt all over your hands!

          • @sakurakiks: Thanks, was going to buy that then I noticed and bought green Geforest soap dispenser.. Slightly cheaper at $22 but no 3 settings function.

            • @Jared17: I was looking at both of them. Wonderful which one works better and have longer battery life.

              • @amsaini15: This works fine. Green colour not my gave but that's OK. Silly thing uses AAA batteries though I had none, but tonnes of AA batteries. Really Pissed me off when I realized.

    • Sofirn/Wurkko flashlights.
      Roxon knife scissors tool.

  • Haha just my luck… I put through an order Thursday and yesterday (both Affiliated products) and was able to send a cancellation request for one of those orders (Awaiting seller to approve) and sent said seller a quick message to explain that I would be putting the order through again (and briefly explained why) - Seller probably thinks I'm a numpty hahaha
I couldn't cancel the other one as it has been dispatched.

Adding a few products to my 'Wish List' now ready for later today! (So I can jog my memory regarding the DP and title as it will allow me to easily find it when searching via Aliexpress after clicking through Cashrewards)

    Thanks Clear (And Cashrewards)

  • Can anyone recommend a lightweight and/or flexible USB-C cable? Kind of like the ones that come with mice.

    • +1

I've bought cheap USB-C cables from this crowd. They're more flexible since there's no nylon braiding.

      https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001780377156.html

      • As close as I'm going to get probably.

Though I really do quite like this thin paracord mouse cable, it's too bad no-one seems to sell them.

  • Are affiliate products common? I don't think anything I ever bought was an affiliate product. Mostly I buy spare parts for electronics or vacuum cleaners etc (e.g. Filters)

    • I'm keto for the most part and never thought of checking it by breath. Idea of stabbing my finger is gross.

      • Urine strips are the cheapest by $ price. Especially for low usage.

But at 25 ish $ i think breath one is not bad either.

Blood is ofcourse still the most accurate one especially in higher ketosis state ( as that time body will be using more of ketones so it shows less in breath and urine, but still shows in blood)

    • +1

Masks are ineligible unless you just want to buy them anyway.

Edit: Just noticed the deals just expired anyway.

  • +1

    Bought 12 items, all tracked.

Fell just short of the max cashback at $14.72 but close enough.

  • +2

    Ok shopback, your turn…

  • Missed out dam , busy life, just realised the time was until 11 pm not till 12 am, oh well whatever
Was gonna need that anyway may as well just stick to 4.5%. apart from the fact app ordering was absolutely terrible, took like over 30 mins to place order on app

    • I didn't bother either in the end. The item was showing up 4-5$ more expensive than the same item using a YouTuber's affiliate link, and maybe didn't need it anyway (like most stuff on here).

      • interestingly enough when I went to shop that through a new account, it shows it like $2 cheaper with a store item ($4 before GST).

With Aliexpress (which I barely use EVER, just because of overseas chinese shipping and a lot of dodgy sellers there) i find new account quite often gets cheaper price.

    • Why is the app so hard to order one? I find it to be one of the easiest out there.

      • I think it might be just my xioami phone, like every time I open an app, leave it and open another app, It like restarts the first app (aka like forget all the login inside the aliexpress or whatever I was doing in the app). This is the main reason why I ALWAYS HATE APP ORDERS, and buy stuff directly from laptop browser instead, (which is very reliable and easiest compared to phone ordering). Didn't have access to my laptop on yesterday's busy day, so I guess that's what I get from ordering through app.

Also then app for some reason doesn't allow google login with aliexpress (at least not to me), so that wasted extra time, me thinking its like one time problem, restarting app etc. trying to logging with google account again etc. etc.

  • +3

    Still hasn't tracked for me.
1 order with 3 items/sellers, all confirmed with affiliate portal.
    Purchased through the Android app.

Anyone else have their orders not tracked yet?

    • +1

Only 1 of my 2 orders has tracked so far.

    • +1

My order with two items (laptop) hasn't tracked yet. This has happened a few times with AliExpress. In the last 20% AliExpress cashback my untracked items were honored by Cashrewards. This time I cancelled the order.

      • I also cancelled..

      • Just got to put a claim in all the time.

      • +1

You bought a laptop with max $15 cashback?

        • Haha, I used a laptop browser to purchase. Interestingly, I purchased jewelry, and for me this is one item that often does not track.

        • +1

In wouldn't buy anything over $100 from Aliexpress and also in case it doesn't track. Have to chase it up almost every time.

    • Same used the app (at 4.5% rate, mine still not tracked)

  • +1

Yeah I had one order tracked but another order not tracked yet. Glad I'm not the only one.

  • No tracking yet as well.

    • Yes still waiting. Can't even make a claim yet

  • From another Aliexpress deal
Cashrewards should stipulate the scam of paying more for product through their link

Empty your cart prior to clicking from Cashrewards. Add items to your cart after clicking from Cashrewards."

Yes last time I had items in cart had to EMPTY ? (WHY?)

When I put items back in cart AFTER linking through Cashrewards items were much more expensive.

When I told CR they acknowledged such

Check it out load your cart now and check price on day you go through CR

    • Not the first time I have read about this but it has never happened to me, are you sure it's the same item/seller?

I have always saved items to my wishlist and clicked from there.

      • He says it all the time about cashback in general. I've never had the issue with AliExpress.

  • Has anyone had this tracked yet? It's been 6 days and I thought it said 1-7 days for tracking so will see what happens tomorrow. I confirmed all my items were affiliate approved items and i cleared the cart and re-entered before proceeding.

  • Claim sent (2nd order never tracked)

  • My orders tracked. Received them at my new home today. Which is quite unusual. Less than 2 weeks only.

When I was at my old home near Sydney CBD, it usually took more than a month for goods orders from aliexpress.

    Quite happy.
