This is becoming the standard price for a 24" as 27" are around $200 now.

Hopefully they are gifting back $139.

I don't have exactly this model, but I love my ThinkVision monitors! Great value, and love the matte screen

They are underrated if you ask me, for regular use (read: not gaming or graphic design)

    • Exactly that was my motive.. a monitor that can make my office with easy and watching small fonts of screens on other laptops easier in trans meetings plus some generator space to expand multiple items in visual studio on the same screen..
Was looking for one at fb marketplace, those stained and scratchy ones usually around $80 plus travel time and cost with no warranty.. thought this deal is way far better.. so pulled the trigger.. not sure though if I'd be able to sell that freebie hdmi to micro hdmi for anything like 5-10 dollars at fb as it'll be useless for me..
But yeah, always been a fan of thinkpad and related products and those are the only ones left sensible in the market today.. like having full sized arrow keys.. not too shallow clanky keyboard etc

  • VA panel? These are bad right? You want IPS

I like to work at lower brightness levels in general.. my colleagues usually find my display brightness too low to work at, but i find it comfortable and easy on my eyes.. But ultimately, if you manage to go through complete article mentioned here, crux of whole minute details discussions is that you don't need to worry too much about panels until you are not going for extreme case. That said, you can reply for decision of display type on manufacturer himself. One won't manufacture high refresh rate monitors with a panel that isn't optimal for it, but if he still does that means you are getting some other advantage there, like cost.
It all melts down to how much you want to spend, not how much you have for spending.. preferences mate! :-)
