Remember these are rebranded TaoTronics BH090 and soundpeats
    https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/3xv6qql8

you can get the soundpeats version here, and they have a $10 discount, bringing them down to $75

    • I thought SuperXFI was proprietary, and was surprised to know that it was OEM.

      • Pretty sure SuperXFI is proprietary. Creative must have licensed the headphone design from OEM and added their software for EQ and DSP. That's my guess, anyway.

Any proper reviews showing they're rebranded? Wouldn't go off one person on Whirlpool just saying they're 99% alike.
Checking the specs, the weights are different: Soundpeats 453g, Creative 273g.

      • +3

the soundpeats are not 453g lol. nobody is wearing half a kilo on their head. thats the package weight.

      • I use soundpeats A6, and confirm that they are different. Soundpeats doesn’t have ambient awareness mode which creative has. Look similar though.

      • I was that one person. Returned them. Mics are rubbish. Uncomfortable. No apps.

      • Bh090 does not have ambient mode

  • Very good headphones, they had them for 75 when they first came out to early adopters.

    • I also got a pair at early release, but didn't like them as they were uncomfortable on my ears. They would probably suit someone with smaller ears. Have since purchased a set of Bose that were on special here recently and they are chalk and cheese. The Bose are super comfortable with excellent NC, which IMHO make them worth the extra money.

      • I'll admit I haven't really worn them enough to be able to say they are uncomfortable as I have too many other sets I swap, I do like the sound

      • Agree, but the cost difference is huge as I bought them as early adopter. Love to afford the Bose. BTW, I have small ears, so these fit well as I also wear specs.

    • I got them as a spare but didnt like the sound that much and the app and other features felt gimmicky.

      • I did play around with the eq to get it to my liking

  • to me it is not worth $79 when released, since I already have TT BH090 for $39 and SP A6 for $ 59.

The video of a guy talking with these on in the link is hilariously fake.

    • That is incredible. Great spot, had a good chuckle.

    • LOL

For the effort they put into that, they could've produced a genuine video

    • Which one? There are a few youtube video reviews on the page.

Control-F on the page for "you'll"

  • Perfect, now I can replace my Bose.

Don't get these. You will be disappointed. I ended up getting these:

      • Thoughts on them?

        • +1

Very happy even with video calls. Not the creative ones for those playing along at home.

      • Reviews are good on Amazon. I m waiting for a good deal for Bose QC45. How about the performance?

        • I'd suggest you wait. I replaced the Creative Labs with the Bose and haven't looked back.

  • Just some feedback on another Creative model.

I have the SXFI Air headphones. They look very different so what I mention might not apply to these which some comments say are a clone of another headphone.

I love the sound of my SXFI Air headphones they have really powerful deep bass and they are the only headphone I have tried which gives a subwoofer like effect for watching movies.
But after a year of use, the earpads are fine and holding up great but a thin layer of the headband has started to crumble away.
If I don't really touch it it's fine, but yeah it's breaking down and peeling off a thin layer. YMMV.

had it before and found them a bit uncomfy.

I haven't got one of these, but have the taotronic bh090.

The build looks identical, I'm sure there are some software tuning differences.

The ANC definitely works well, only issue i have with it is that the passive noise isolation is pretty poor. There are over the ear headphones out there that do passive isolation on par with their ANC.

Sound stage also isn't very good IMO. If it is tuned like the Taotronics, ANC mode cranks up the bass by quite a bit and might sound better to the bass heads out there.

  • knock off with the creative name tax, better to get something like the Soundcore Q30 or 1more SonoFlow for a little bit more. Those regular prices are fake, they launched for $80 and still many people hated and returned them, search ozbargain or whirlpool forums.

  • The sounpeats a6 is currently $63 from aliexpress official store. Usually the shipping is very fast from those official store.

Bought these during pre-launch sale. Was greatly disappointed. Not worth the money. The sound is too flat with no base no matter which EQ settings you choose.
