I got an email from Topbuy stating the above on special for 24hrs. Quick market research shows most of the online retailers even HK based selling for $100 or more. I know I'm going to get hammered by the Tablet Guru's why this no brand junk blah blah blah… hey for $80 you get a smart device, I know there will be a few others like me, confused which one to get and how much to spend, this is price of prepaid mobile phone cant go wrong. Ordered mine, if anyone else like me out there, this can be yours :-) 24hr deal!!!

Quick market research would say don't buy resistive touch.

for $80 this one looks better - Ramos w17
        http://www.redtabletpc.com/ramos-w17-pro-tablet-pc-7-inch-ca…

maybe this one also at $99 - ainol novo 7 elf

        • how reliable is redtabletpc?

        • +1

I only ordered once from them, it was a Ainol Mars 7 tablet and the staff responded very quickly to my inquiries. In the end I asked for a order cancellation + refund because I changed my mind and they did it right away.

So yeah, good customer service, fast response times, but not sure about reliability or shipping times.

        • Hey David H, thanks for these recommendation… I have cancelled my order on the resisitive screen but checking this site, it says paypal and free shipping but when I try to buy, it is adding $16 shipping and not giving me paypal for payment… any suggestion please?

It says free shipping on orders under 2kg but you you contact them and say the item is less than 2kg they may give you a discount coupon code

        • good point, will try that cheers…

        i wouldn't pay 50 for resistive

I bought a mcbub.com a13 allwinner dual core 7" with capacitive screen for $70 delivered and it's not bad for the money . Battery life is 2 hours and the wifi is a bit dodgy but it has google play and ics . All apps seem to work OK , As a toy for the kids it's gold . I was given a resistive screen a while ago and it was like having a car with a pair of vice grips instead of a steering wheel .

  • Looks alright, but I will go with ainol ,I bought the elf ii for 120 which is a dual core with 1gb ddr3 ram and 2x Mali 400, but this one is an 8 inch compared to most tablet under 100

  • +1

It may make a nice clock, weather display screen or photo album, just don't think about using it as a normal tablet because of the resistive screen.

pay a little more, get something a little better - I have today recieved my Ainol Elf II - ordered 3 July - exactly 2 weeks
ordered from here for $109 delivered (now is $116)

    it has Capacitive 1024x600, Dual Core 1.5GHz, 1GB RAM….

    • It arrived? How is it mate?

      • good, typing this on it, but only fot indoor, if you want outdoor use I.e. on the sun get the aurora model for like $30 extra with IPS screen

  • +2

you dont want a resistive screen people

  • +1

Ok price but the screen makes me resistive.

  • +2

2008 is calling, they want their resistive screen back.

Even if was compactive, please remember this is TopBuy you are considering given your money.

  • Toilet tab!!!

    • You want the Ainol with the resistive touch

  • +1

There are good and bad resistive touchscreens. I still use my Optus Mytab daily and the resistive screen is fine. No multitouch support to speak of, but it doesn't have that squidgy feel of some resistive screens and accuracy is great
