Great book for anyone in IT. Definitely recommend it.

Went to buy it and discovered that just like a Udemy course, I'd bought it back in 2019 and had completely forgotten about it. Thanks OP - OzReminder in action!

      Ha ditto!

    • You purchased this item on 19 December 2019.

      • Same with me

  • It's okay .

  • Great book

That's an audiobook not an ebook

      I see you’ve played audiobooky-eBooky before!

  • thank you !!

Available on Kindle when going through Amazon US
Else, available as Audio Book via Amazon AU

    • Isn’t it the other way around? The audio book is free if I sign up trial, whereas the kindle is free (I own it since 2019 so I can’t confirm)

      • Yea. Audio book is free if you sign up (US and AU Amazon)
However, the kindle edition is free on US and not via AU Amazon.

Is anyone feeling sad when they clicked on the link and realised that they have already purchased this back in 2019? I miss that 'I got a new book' feeling. 💓

    • At least you got a couple of seconds excitements before clicking the link

    • Retire from Ozbargain and regain the joy

Way too much over dramatising, over the top and not very interesting

Perfect content for the audience here then.

  • Thanks! Has been on my list and now finally purchased!

My lecturer recommended this book every time I had a subject with her. Downloaded it and read the first page I think :p

  • You purchased this item on 19 December 2019. I had no idea.

Showing as $15.90 for me on Amazon AU.

  • Signed up for a free trial on audible last year just to pick this up with a credit. After I smashed it out on my commutes I can totally understand why it comes so highly recommended. Very relatable and so many parallels with my own work.

Get your head around this if you are involved in IT Operations. If you couldn’t focus through this short read then I don’t know how you’d cope with WFH.

*I can't get it on Amazon AU, because I already have Audible…
*I can't get it on Amazon US, because it says "Kindle titles are available for AU customers on Amazon.com.au."

  • This is annoying. I already have it on Audible and can't get the Kindle edition.

  • Thanks Op, listened to the audio book years ago, will try to make time to read it again.

I think this has expired on Amazon AU.

    • Yes, cannot get it on amazon AU. I go to Amazon US and it will not let me get it even though it shows as free
Edit: I cheated by changing my region to US, got the book and change region back. Luckily I have a friend in the US and used their address. :)

This looks like a book some manager reads before wearing turtlenecks to work

  • The ending was sad and I didn't like it

Ugh. Our organisation gobbled this up like it was gospel when it came out.
Now we spend more time in meetings and filling out those damn cards outlining our work instead of actually doing it.
Bit of a wank really and it seems like so many drank the "Kool-Aid" that this book touts.
