I had my eyes on this module as an upgrade for my Acer Nitro 5. it was around $210 then down to around $160 at times and now $140.
For those of you with Acer Nitro 5, despite Acer indicating the maximum supported ram being 32GB, there are many people reporting they installed 2x32GB with no issues.

Good find OP! These play quite nicely with the nitro 5, I did the same mod for my partner a few years back, 1200 for the i5+2060, couple hundred for the 8 to 16gb ram upgrade and its a pretty wicked bang for buck gaming laptop!

  • Would 2x16 run better than 1x32

    • Yes, you need dual channel to get the best performance

Will these work ok in a NUC10i5? (Supports max 2666)

I don’t mind if its limited to 2666mhz, just don’t want it to say run slower than the max supported due to missing profiles (or something like that, I don’t know much about it)

I guess same question could apply to eg crucial 3200mhz ram and so on.

    Thank you.

    • It should be backward compatible but what's the point of getting high-speed RAM and putting in the slow channel. Better buy exact spec RAM and that should be cheaper anyway.

      • Because that’s the thing, at best the exact spec ram 2x16gb in a well known brand is around this price, and quite often higher :p

So I wouldn’t consider it a waste of money and additionally I could use it in future when I upgrade

        If that makes sense :)

This one has better timing DDR4-3200 CL20-22-22 compared to the one you posted. However, if you don't care about that (and prefer a cheaper kit), then you could consider the one you posted.

  • How well does this work on an AMD based laptop (Lenovo Legion 5 Pro)?

    I can't seem to find KF432S20IB1K2/32 anywhere.

  • These are also high bandwidth x8 modules where you can see a noticeable performance boost if upgrading from low bandwidth x16 modules.

Generally, most gaming laptops now ship with x16 modules.

I've used these exact modules (2x 16GB CL20 1Rx8) to upgrade a NUC 11 Enthusiast Kit that comes with Ram (2x 8GB CL22 1Rx16) and micro shutters in some games disappeared.

  • I bought these last time they were on special (2x 16Gb kit), works nicely with the AW M15 R5 notebook.
