The old NutriBullet 900w. I returned 2 that would leak the bearing grease past the blade and into the smoothie before getting a Ninja

    • What's a ninja

    • +1

My nutribullet broke down after a year and half. Bought a Ninja to replace it and still works to this day.

      • OTOH Our ninja is dead just out of warranty, smelling like smoke. The second one smoked after 2 months but seems to be surviving.

I don't think the ninja is great.

        • +1

Well it appears YMMV. My ninja still works very well.

          • @Phlume: My 5-6 year old Ninja is still going too. Needs a new blade but good run so far.

            • @Millikano: Same thing has happened with my Nina after daily use of around a year.

        • They use cheap and nasty bearings on the blades and then Mann & Noble the company that handles the parts classes the blades as "consumables" so they don't have to warrant the replacement parts for long.

Very poor… Mine has the same burning smell now and I'm probably on the 5th set of blades. I'd recommend looking at other products…

    • +3

Usually this happens when you overfill the cup above the recommended level.
I have a 600W model for almost 10 years, it still going strong. But I had replaced several blades before my wife learned not to overfill it..

      • dop2000?

        • Yep!

          • +1

@doperst: Hah, small world I guess - I'm LukeW from the C3 forums/Discord. Didn't realise you were based in Aus.

      • Out of interest, why does overfilling cause the bearing to leak?

        • +1

Probably creates too much pressure inside the vessel, forcing liquid past the seals. By having an air gap inside the vessel, that gap can be compressed under pressure, whereas liquids cannot be compressed, acting as a shock absorber.

    • Which Ninja model would you recommend?

      • +2

        Ninja 300

        • +1

As one of my mates says, grown ups bikes start at one litre.
          $42k, wtf
          https://www.bikesales.com.au/bikes/details/2022-kawasaki-nin…
          .

          • @Nugs: Owning an 800, and having kept up with 1000s through twisties when I was on a 250, your mate is wrong.

Litre-bikes just burn more fuel, and are like using a racehorse to duck back and forth to the corner shops.

            • @LukeS: No doubt that a well ridden 250 will keep with larger bikes when lots of corners involved, but I doubt Pecco Bagnaia will race one next year
              .

        • 400 is out now, looks pretty good.

    • I've gone to the aldi one! Can't beat it for the price and warranty. Although I think it blends things less smoothie like than a bullet but that could be ingredient/freshness dependent.

    • Same! Mine leaked after 18 months while the 2y older ninja still kicking strong.

    • +1

Mine did the exact same thing. Also, old Ninja started to smoke. Thinking Vitamix now

      • They're well aware of their manufacturing issues (cheap parts) and don't care because they make all their money off the replacement blades they sell you once they fail.

  • Didnt think, just bought straight away.

How good a deal was this?

    • Want to know the same, just about to buy it

    • Didnt think, just bought straight away.

      OzBargain’s tagline

      • +2

In true OzBargain fashion I made sure to use the voucher, an Ebay Gift Card and my westpac card via Shopback!

        • So how much money did The Universe pay you for buying the Nutribullet?

(True OzBargainers somehow wrangle discounts and shopbacks so the discounts are more than they pay.)

    • Effin awesome deal, would have pounced on this if I didn't buy the 10 piece set at $99 last year.

  • +7

    69 - nice

  • How do I do a click and collect on eBay?

    • Click collect from store at checkout and then go get it from the store.

Itll let you pick between postage and click and collect, then a drop down of what store you would like

    • Add to cart, go to check out, at the delivery/click and collect part, choose click and collect and it lists your local stores along with stock status.

  • Does anyone know if the milling blade is any good - especially for mill grain (e.g. brown rice) flour.

  • finally, been lookign for a blender deal for ages

  • This actually is an amazing deal

  • Not sure why code not working! Do I need to use app? PayPal is ok? Please help

    • +1

I just bought one via the eBay website. The coupon still worked, just had to apply it in checkout. You have to tap a dropdown box that says "Vouchers, gift cards and codes" or something similar

    • Same for me. Neither of the links working as code not working

    • +1

Strange that I could make it work as a guest user - using my browser incognito mode; Tried so many times as a logged in User but failed everytime.

      • Legend!! Incognito and guest checkout worked. 👍

  • Cheers Neoika, saw Coles had started stocking them so I was going to pick one up there when they're half price. This one is the upgraded model and I only had to pay the extra $6 for shipping so well worth it

  • +3

Purchase using the Bing Lee link as opposed to the good guys link. Good guys charged $10 for postage.

  • +1

    I bit the bullet.

  • +1

    I know this is 600W but is $35 a good price? https://www.kmart.com.au/product/nutribullet-600-series-blen…

    • Yes, the stock may be not easy to find.

      • went all around northern suburbs looking for it yesterday and couldn't find any.

The stock levels are not accurate online.

  • I make a smoothie like once a month. But i bought one anyway.

    • As long you dont buy new blender once a month

      • +1

Doing dishes is for poor people. I simply throw the entire unit in the bin and buy a new one

  • Got one from bing lee. 5 left. Hopefully they has enough stock.

My old blender produces smell like burning motor even when making soft mango blend without ice cube.

  • I have a $100 TGG gift card and I can't figure out how to buy this using it…
    Any suggestions?
Their staff on the phone can't match the price and I can't seem to use my gift card on their eBay store… :'(

    • +2

Just like your nick if you keep on like this the item will expiry….

    • +2

      You can't.
This is an eBay sale, not a Good Guys sale.

    • +1

Did you ever consider that by highlighting the deal to them, they might rescind it?

      • I've had a TGG gift card for over a year and this is the first time I've been mildly interested in anything at their store. Just want to get rid of it and get some cash back for it

        • As already mentioned, this wasn't a GG store sale, it was an eBay promo code sale.
I'm not sure how you expect to get cash back for it or who would be giving you the cash?

          • @oz-dave: maybe just donate to ozb member, he will get rid of it and get some "good karma" back for it

  • +2

    Thanks so much OP!

Your comment “Credit to the glitched code (It should have been $10 off, not $50 off)” was really helpful. Made you the MVP 😊

  • +1

Thanks OP. Just picked mine up from GG. Also received $10 store credit by txt when I collected it.

    • I picked up mine but did not get any store credit?

      • I got a text for digital invoice and $10 credit, before i had even left the store.

  • hello Bing Lee where is my blender???

    • Yeah, i bought it from their eBay store. No delivery 🚚 update.

    • Anything yet? I bought the Panasonic rice cooker from them under the same promotion and still waiting…

  • got notification of delivery / on its way just now. nsw post code 2170

  • Anyone know where to get compatible lids for these? The official one seems expensive
It comes with 3 cups but only 1 lid …
