  It looks like a good deal, but it is concerning that 3 of 8 reviews mention major problems with the blender:

  "Only 6 mths … Motor now blown." : Includes video showing the issue

  "…have had it for less than 3 months, plastic has melted on the bottom of the detachable cup blade making it unremovable, the base plastic has melted, and the screen no longer turns on."

  "…leaves massive chunks of banana (not even frozen) and does not blend ice or frozen fruits at all - it's so bad I am wondering if I have a dodgy unit."
