You've linked to the same game. You've also listed the wrong title. Dupe. The title in the game is "Dishonored - Definitive Edition". get over it.
Staying up for another 30m, will be disappointed if your revised game [PC, Epic] Free - Eximius Seize the Frontline @ Epic Games is not free. Here's to hoping it's a two fer one!

Link to the game listed is actually https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/eximius-seize-the-frontl… - current link goes to dishonored that I Smell Pennies posted yesterday

It has been confirmed by billbil. We’re going to be getting two free games on the last Xmas Epic Games giveaway

OP should’ve at least check the link in the original post before making a dupe and crediting ISP for his efforts

I'm assuming it one to end off the '15 Days of Christmas' and one for their weekly Thursday/Friday free game.

Here's to hoping it's a two fer one!

I'm highly confident it is :)

Sweet! That would make for a good end of year surprise from epic, very happy! Woot!

I was disappointed for the first few mins xD, until it actually became free a few mins later

          • +2

@I Smell Pennies: Same here, was glad it went free :). Good work epic games, love a twofer!

            • +2

@MorriJ: You guys are sad, staying awake just to get free games from epic. Oh wait…

              • +3

@moar bargains: Epic Games did a recent stunt on pulling the Director’s Cut version of Death Stranding within the first hour and replaced it with the base game instead

No harm in staying awake to claim it asap :)

                • @BargainsGrabber: I know, I was actually awake when the DC version went live, but thought "Ah I'll grab it in the morning" 😢
I wasn't awake specifically for that though, just making use of the time I had to be awake

Epic Games did a recent stunt on pulling the Director’s Cut version of Death Stranding within the first hour and replaced it with the base game instead

Why do you insist on this misinformation?

It was announced beforehand that the Standard Edition would be free but they accidentally gave away the Director's Cut.

@brotherfranciz: I didn’t insist on misinformation. I was quoting what has been said and posted in the previous post. The original title revision of that deal reads

[PC, Epic] Free - Death Stranding - Director’s Cut (26/12) | F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch (27/12) @ Epic Games

A better suggestion instead of making a completely new deal is they should have reported and commented on the original deal so the original poster could edit in the new game.

It’s like if there was a jbhifi coupon posted for free shipping. Then someone posts a new deal for the same coupon because it wasn’t just “free shipping” but the coupon was actually “free shipping + $5 off if you spend over $200”.

Luckily it all worked out as a seperate post since it wasn’t a double free game but a free game which is seperate from the current Christmas deals.

It worked for him when I guessed the wrong Metro. Can see why he tried it again with the Dishonoured discrepency.

  • A$42.95 - I almost clicked buy thinking it would be $0.00.
Says free but then goes to $42.95?

    • Got both on my side too

  • Thanks OP and if someone else posted the deals also.

    Merry Eximius??

    • lol

  • +1

Only one of the six reviewers recommended the game, and the average score of those six was 63% lol. As far as game scores go that's truly awful. Wonder if it's gotten any better with subsequent patching?

    • +1

I just tried it, really awful game.

Very very rough and clunky gameplay.

Lots of unoptimized designs such as having a fixed crosshair while aiming downsight, the worst thing is the gun would sway by animation but the crosshair stays at the center UI, it’s very confusing!

Also the textures are obviously marketplace assets, not saying it’s bad but the entire aesthetics are inconsistent!

Then the gameplay framerates seem pretty bad, at the start I thought it was the motion blur but no, it’s the game optimizations. (3060 Ti)

I wasted an hour installing this, don’t be like me!

Dealbot, we all appreciate what you do but the fight over who gets the imaginary internet points is becoming pretty cringe.

    • +4

Wait, you mean we can't cash out our ozbargain post scores for rewards cards???

        • +9

Lmao no way, is this why some people get so salty about other users stealing "their" posts?

Mods should try excluding regular scheduled deals like epic free games

          • +2

@OZKap: I mean it sounds like it's at the site's discretion, not handed out automatically or anything. So I think more than that, don't think there'd be many people posting specifically to get a $100 gift card.

    • +12

Last year he was PMing someone else telling them not to post Epic deals since he felt he had exclusive rights over who posts what (and still does).

Unfortunately OzBargain are unintentionally encouraging the battle of internet points by paying the winners $150 every month. I'm not sure if they realise this though.

      • +1

Ozbargain good boy points are serious business

I don't understand why these deals are so popular. You get something new every week. So once a week you claim it. Do you really need a deal posted here to remind you that it's Friday?

  • I claimed this and noticed.

Store show "Eximius: Seize the Frontline - Season 3 Breakthrough"
Library Shows "Eximius: Seize the Frontline - Season 2 Nemesis"

  • I don't know if it's even worth mentioning, but https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/bundles/assassins-creed-ch… is free if you set your region to Romania, and a few others. It won't work if you have already bought things in AU then your region locked to here. This was also free last year on Ubi, so most of us would already have it.

    • Unless a fresh account it wont work, youd need to make a new one based in Romania. Is the game any good? Figured ive got Origins to play before worrying about chronicles.

      • +1

Yes, I don't think it's worth the effort myself. I just thought I'd mention in case anyone wanted to. I have them on Ubi, but haven't gotten around to playing them. They play very differently to the standard franchise.

  • ty!

  • From reading a few reviews, Eximus looks doomed to have a tiny playerbase. The reviews are poor enough that it doesn't look like many people would keep at it, and without a decent spread of players it's likely that you'd be matched up with people with much higher or lower skill levels rather than having enough players to have good balance.

Seems destined to sit in people's libraries and never get installed.

    • I loaded it up for a try and quickly uninstalled it thirty minutes later. Feels unpolished and dull.
