I have the GH4, excellent camera. Been with me for nearly 8 years

It's good that I cannot afford this camera. This price is tempting. Good that micro 4/3 lenses are also out of my price range.

    • Hehe, the 100MP handheld stitched images are insane :P

      • I don't want to buy a powerball ticket. Never won anything.

    • some micro 4/3 lenses are actually pretty affordable compared to some other mounts. And second hand is even more so.

      • Well, when I got my GH4 for $900 from digiDirect years ago, they sold me the cheap Panasonic 14-42mm for $50 and Panasonic had a promotion to get 25mm f/1.7 prime for free (with a GH4 body purchase). Nowadays, I reckon it will be a struggle to get either lens for $50 even if it is second hand.

  • Just bought a GH5 a couple weeks ago. It's great and the video capabilities are amazing. Hard to believe how much better the GH6 can get — and while this price is tempting, I just don't need that step up just yet.

    • If you use video AF, this is a step above the GH5! The faster processor makes a big difference to AF performance.

GH6 AF is on par, or just above that of the G9 (which was one of the best released so far - none match Canon R6s or Sony A7S iii's but G9/GH6 are close)

  • 120fps 4K and 60fps in 5.7K ProRes Raw!

  • Am still keen on GH5. Better to go used or new?

Depends on the price and the condition. You can pick up a hardly used GH5 pretty cheap.
