Looking for a high-end head-torch / torch and came across this and ordered. Very well regarded and actually puts out the stated lumens (unlike most Amazon torches).

Keep in mind. The battery is sealed. So after 1,2 or 3 years, this will become a paperweight.

This is completely incorrect. It uses a 21700 rechargeable battery which can be replaced.

      See here:

There is not a single mention of what type of battery it uses anywhere on the listing page.

The manual is on the listing page and mentions it.

        • Ouch that must burn to be so wrong

I saw this but went with the Acebeam PT40 instead because it uses an 18650 battery instead of the 21700.
Got it for a steal at $85 on Amazon.
All my other torches uses the 18650 batteries so wanted to keep it simple.

    • Yeah, 21700 cells seem a bit much for a headlamp. Even 18650 cells are bordering on being too big and heavy for a headlamp.

If you have eBay Plus, cheaper from their eBay Store

    • Still working

  • I bought a $15 thing from bunnings and honestly its lower light levels are much more handing than some high intensity thing. Uses AAA so I just put em in the charger (prefer over usb).

    • It depends what your usages are. I have a few headlamps and recently got an 18650 Skilhunt and it's brilliant not having to worry about flat batteries all of the time.
For backpacking/camping though I would never use it as it's too heavy.

      • What is your usecase for these then?

        • I wouldn't get one of these. The 21700 battery is a bit big and heavy for my liking.

  • Wuben H1 off Amazon for $45 is awesome

  • good baton 3 alternative? i mean cheap.

    • I checked the Baton3 Kit, and it was $87.71 Delivered from Olight eBay Store.

Also looking for an Baton3 alternative, and I've seen a lot of recommendation for the Wurkkos TS10, which is a similar form factor and about half the price.

Another alternative would be the Sofirn SC21

    • You can’t compare both. This Perun is 90 degree light. I’m planning to attach to my backpack shoulder strap for night trekking. I bought it with 20% voucher costing $75.96. I still see that voucher on the listing so not sure where OP got $88. I’ve Baton 3 as well but I got this one being 90 degrees.

      • I still see that voucher on the listing so not sure where OP got $88.

Showing as $88.86 delivered at Amazon. Don't see a 20% off coupon (only the Desert Tan, which isn't discounted)

      • Voucher never showed for me (and still doesn't). Does for other models though. Annoying.

        • No. You’re right. My mistake. I bought Perun 2 Mini. I mixed up.

  • Perfect for a budding miner?
