you should change your nick to wisdomtablet

I'm shopping for one. If you search my posts last month, I was wisdomcoffeemachine.

      • +1

Will you be shopping for a graphics card next month?

        • +5

I think the last time I shopped for a graphics card it was for an Apple IIe.

Also $174.30 at the Samsung Education store with an edu.au email address.

    • Thank you!

    Connector type: Micro USB

    They're USB-C ;)

They come up quite cheap on ebay at times, I got a used one in new condition with a Samsung case for $90 back in July…

Be mindful they're not a powerhouse but they're ok for basic tasks, I only use mine for mapping, marine charts and such… If you want to game or such do some research first and make sure it suits your needs…

    • Have you tried yours with xbox cloud gaming yet?

      • +2

No sorry, I pretty much only use it for navigation in the bush and the boat, + music & videos in the tent, all basic stuff.. …

It's fine for what I use it for but I believe they have quite a bad reputation when it comes to gaming so do some research before jumping in ;)

When you look at reviews make sure you're looking at the "A7 Lite" and not the "A7" which I believe is significantly better…

Must buy if you love a tablet with low res screen, sluggish performance.
Sold mine after 3 hour use

    • +1

Ours is already sluggish within a year, and wasn't pushed very hard at all.

      • +1

        Can confirm. Slow AF.

    • +1

Same, slow devices, even at $87 not worth the hassle. Save yourself the hassle of returning it

    Connector type: Micro USB

I think its usb c when I used it

Bought that 2 days ago for $199 😪😭

Thanks OP, got one price matched no issues at JB hifi as I needed it tomorrow for a gift!

  • Can't find any reviews for xbox cloud gaming on this. If it performs well, it could be a pretty great solution for a kids gaming device, perhaps with ipega grip controllers.

    • Nevermind, the specs in the description aren't right.

  • +1

it's does the job for basic youtube and browsing. definitely slow to swap betwen apps.

it's the perfect size for a tablet for me. wish there was an option around similar size with better specs on ram and cpu. screen res i'm happy with as it's mostly a media player for me

  • +1

I paid $255 18 months ago for the full 10.4" size.

Also I seriously doubt this has a 7000mAh battery - more like 5000maH max.

    • +3

Correct, it's 5100mAh … it has really good battery life IMO !

I think the specs listed above might be for the "A7", not the "A7 LITE"

      A7 Lite Specs:
      Display - 8.7"
      Resolution - 1340 x 800 pixels, 5:3 ratio (~179 ppi density)

      CPU - Octa-core (4x2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A53)
      GPU - PowerVR GE8320
      Battery - 5100mAh
Rear Camera - Resolution 8.0 MP
Front Camera - Resolution 2.0 MP
Rear Camera - Flash - No
      Video Recording Resolution - FHD (1920 x 1080)@30fps

Oh that makes more sense. That description needs to be fixed!

I'm thinking this is ok for a 4yo and 7yo for flights and car trips? Any better deal out there?

  • +2

Anyone know if there are docks for this that can keep it powered? Either sitting on a desktop or wall?

I'm thinking this will be a great interface for homeassistant to control things around the house, and control the main tv etc
