I don’t have either, but for $282 I’d go for latest model
https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-x80j-vs-sony-x8… for reference, but the way I read things, the J is better for normal TV and movies, whilst the K has only a few small advantages over the J you possibly won't notice.
I don't have either, but am interested too as my old Sony will need replacing soon.
Go K series. Brighter and newer remote.
Not sure about the J's remote, the K doesn't have numbers. There's a "123" button which brings up a menu where you can access the numbers among other settings, for anyone wondering..
Those numerical buttons are useless unless you use them for Free to air TV
Get the LG CS 55 for $1450.
this or LG CS? 65"
Sony… I have A80J (65) and a picture and sounds fantastic…i pick sony bcoz LG CS is a lower model than LG C2 and C2 vs A80K.
I think you’re better off with the CS but you can use rtings to compare to the C1:
https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-c1-oled-vs-sony-a…
The CS has the guts of the C2, but with a C1 panel so you’ll get 4x hdmi 2.1 inputs and the later processor.
Definitely this. This is better than the C2 unless you'll be gaming, in that case you would get the C2. No idea how the CS is for gaming but being "worse" than the C2, I'd go with the Sony.
LG service sucks if anything goes wrong.
This I can vouch for. Although I hear Sony is not any better with overseas support for AU? At least Sony has a better software - Android
Anyone interested in 77” A80K- Sony have them listed at $5488. Not eBay but brand new
Almost double of the 65". Sad
Thanks Op, is it worth paying the extra $282 to get the A80K “55 instead of the A80J $1606? Any significant upgrade between the two?
