  • Found on Supercheap eBay store someone has purchased 40:

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/191964070913

    Will SCA restock it later?

    • Yes, not sure when, though.

    • With that volume, why didn't they buy it from the website directly. The ShopBack refund only gives them a max of $20-$40 anyway. And the shipping is not free.

      • There's a plus code for 5% off on purchases over $15 (not sure if account specific) but yh seems like a lot of oil for one person :o

      • Upsized cashback promotion hasn't started yet.

    • They would cancel that order I think. That would be commercial purchase, not retail

It should be on eBay SCA too. Wait till SB upsized cashback starts later today.

  • Postage goes up to $10 for me. I chuck in a postcode 10 km away and it's $5. Pretty cheeky as I'm almost certain it'd be a flat rate auspost delivery.

Do you think Nulon is better? I want to support Australian owned business

    • i’m pretty sure the castrol edge is better but in practice for most regular people driving regular cars and driving like regular motorists with timely oil changes the nulon would be just as good. Check out Bob the Oil Guy to learn more about oils!

I change every year because it's convenient. When I go to buy the pink slip, I will do a service/oil change. I guess any oil would do.

I use Penrite engine oil in my sport cars and Nulon diff/gear box fluid. just find them run better this way. For engine oil in my daily, I just put whichever cheaper out of Castrol edge, Penrite and Nulon.
I really don't like how Castrol recommended their edge 5w30 for pretty much every petrol vehicle on earth despite they all have different applications and factory recommended viscosity. I know its a really good and versatile oil but I doubt it would be the best match for all the vehicle on their list.

  • Thank you!

  • Is this overkill for Commodore VE series 2?
