  • If there's a 20% off eBay I'll be waiting for the Q3200. Also there was a serious price jump on these once the premium version came back in stock a few months back.

    • I got one earlier this year with that offer, best bbq I've owned, even though I felt the build quality is lacking, the results of the cooks are always sublime.

Eh got it pretty much new from FB sales for 400. Used it once. Went back to charcoal. Gas is trash

    • different has bbqs work in different ways ….some drain fat away to stop flare up so you are just grilling , no smoke flavour from vaporising fat ….some gas bbqs have heat tents over the burners and vaporise fat for smoke flavour ….but it’s hard to compare to charcoal where fat vaporises over coals and very high infra red heat temps are also achieved…..trade of is time to get charcoal ready for a couple of hamburgers vs gas ……

      Such a brainless statement.

At least it’s a great pleasure watching you struggling and coughing in the smoke to light up while I have started cleaning…

We all know charcoal tastes nicer indeed but not convenient. They are for different purposes and both having trade offs. Not apple to apple at all.

i have a gas grill and also a charcoal bbq, the gas gets used 3 timer per week if it’s not raining ….the charcoal once per month ….charcoal grill steak for lunch then slow cook pulled pork as the coals are already going.

    • Yeah fault the tools if you’re a noob griller

Just put some firewood on the grill .. smoky flavour done!

  • E310 / 320 for me. Actual zones, flavouriser bars, etc. Far better. Waiting on the deaaaaal.

    • I've owned a Genesis in the past and much prefer the q, each to their own, but I'm speaking from many years of owning the genesis.

      • Could you elaborate on that? On paper the Genesis looks like it has more control/zones/features.

        • I might just be a crap cook, but my steaks (and everything else) always come out amazing on the family q, vs the genesis where I always struggled, maybe I went overboard with the sear station.

Maybe the flavorizer bars have the opposite effect of what they purport to be, they cover the flame (and protect the burner), but do they really add flavour or have a slight opposite effect?

The build quality on the q seems crap though. My genesis was made in the USA, built like a tank.

  • Q3600 for me

  • BBQ also doubles as baby Yoda
