There is a proven connection between the reason of your comment and the reason people put forks in power points

Life usually precedes death, but that shouldn't stop us enjoying it in all its delicious smokiness.

Having said that, this Weber gadget looks fancy, but you can make your own barbecue smoking contraption for (almost) free - place woodchips in small alu tray, cover with alu foil, and pierce it in a few places. Or just roll woodchips in a foil and pierce.

      Worth it!

    • If you're going to quote a study it helps to have read it first.

Have one. Good bit of kit and a good discount from the arguably over priced rrp

    • Do you have any recipe suggestions? I'm going to give wings a go over the weekend

Got a couple of these - work well on the Weber Q.

The hobo way of achieving the same result would be to soak a bunch of chips in water, and then wrap them in foil, chuck a few fork holes in the foil and place them below the grate on the Q..

    But you own a Weber Q, so you aren’t a hobo…

I’m still a hobo. Just now I got money.

Weber Kettle, Snake Method, Enough Said!

    • sns slow n sear ftw

  • Anyone use pellets in these?

  • Does anyone know if you can use this on the Baby Q? The Weber site contradicts itself, it says in the headline it's for specific models, but then at the bottom says it fits the Q1200N.

    • +1

I see what you mean, but if go with the fits list.

      Fits
      Q1000N, Q1200N, Q200, Q220, Q2000, Q2200, Q2000N, Q2200N, Q300, Q305, Q320, Q3100, Q3200

    • You can, no reason it won't work - but it just means a smaller area to cook on.
