$39 delivery is a little pain.
Personal feeling with $2595 Aeron comparison:

Was $454 including shipping back in July :-/
that was an older model,
the underside of the chair is not movable unlike these ones
anyone have this? how is this chair for sitting up straight with good posture? ideally looking for something to force my back straight when sitting
i have this chair. The chair does nicely for posture because the locks on these chairs are stubborn as hell but the downside so far i see from this chair is the arm rest .
Theres no lock mechanism to have where u want it to be .
I agree with this, i have their previous model, for some reason the back side of the frame was broken,
Return processes was good tho.
Took some time for the back and forth, during holiday season took around 2 business days for them to reply back via amazon chat.
currently happy with the service and the item overall.
Hi Kenny, how is the laying back feel?
I'm tall and skinny, I have to put some effort on my current chair to lay back.
this chair doesnt go far back like a gaming chair if ur looking for that . to like lean back on it ; you do have to put some pressure into it and if u want to lock it . It will sit in that position forever because how stubborn the locks are.it will lean back like 45 degrees max from the normal positino
I have a bad lower back. I'm 5"4' and I got the medium size. After an hour or 2 it wasn't comfortable. I just couldn't get the lumbar working well. Returned it for another brand. Returns process was good.
I have been looking for a good chair for sitting up straight and working. After spending 35 hours of reading, watching youtube review, visiting office works 3 times and looking at all the chairs they had in stock. I have come to conclusion that if you want a chair that supports perfect upright without even the slightest recline, then Haworth Soji it is.
I WFH and wanted a chair for both work and reclining when watching TV with a good headrest, but unforunately there are none. The Haworth Fern and Herman miller embody(based on youtube comments) come close to upright but there is still a little bit of slack that prevents full upright. I am currently sitting on a brand new Pago matrix high back heavy duty chair, which does provide upright support, but when you set the back rest at the forward most position to get good upright support, it eats into the seating space and the mesh backrest itself is too curved and for my wide body, and my middle back hurts. its going back to OW this week.
And for Ergotune, you dont even need to try the chair. Just look at the images on amazon and other places where a person is sitting up straight, only their lowerback is touching the chair. There is no way it will support FULL upright position. And last, never buy a chair thats cushion is too soft. All expensive chairs have a firm seat for a reason.
Finally, you need to understand what works for you does not work for others. Your height, your fat deposits on the body, your spinal curve will mostly decide which chair is comfortable for you. And also, what your definition of upright is. For some a few degrees of recline is OK, for others its not. For me, I cannot think at 100% speed if I am not fully upright. So depending on all these, the chair you like might be different to what I like.
So goto a shop, throw your bum on those chairs and see what fits. Also when you try those chairs at a shop, make sure you adjust all the paramers on each and every chair to see if its the right one for you. Just sitting on a chair thats not properly tuned might give you bad fitting, whereas it might have been the best chair for you if you had tuned it. Hope this helps.
Can't personally vouch for this chair but an ergonomic chair is worth every cent, especially if you are spending 40+ hours sitting in front of your computer.
FWIW the Aeron can still be purchased for $2k + postage if anyone is interested. Which is almost 25% off the RRP
Was talking to a client yesterday. He bought 18 from some 2nd hand office furniture seller for under $500 each (not sure when or where). He said lots of government departments buy this chair (great to know where our tax dollars are going) and then they get sold off to these used office furniture sellers all the time. First I've heard of them being sold so cheap 2nd hand.
Insane how quickly HM prices have been going up.
A year and half ago, you could get an Aeron or Embody for $1600
I see free delivery, might be based on location.
