A 200 boses difference
Yes
Depends, the 700 is a solid performer so unless you must have atmos you might find for most media it’s actually similar
700 doesn't have atmos but 900 doesn't have dts (this is important, look at your movie library)
Imo 900 has a better profile for movies and talking while the 700 does music better.
The new 600 is the sweet spot ATM I think
I just bought the new 600, very impressed with it. A huge upgrade from speakers on my LG C1.
@bashprompt: Snap, got mine 2 days ago fopr my C1, had dramas getting auto on off to work, but sorted now, you adding a sub?
@triple675: Bose auto on and off took me forever to work with my Samsung TV but eventually it just clicked. Not sure what happened though.
Ps. Get the
subbass module. I have the 900 soundbar paired with the 700 sub.@jace88: Yeah I found disconnecting from power supply and reconnecting both the TV and soundbar helps, as it re performs handshake. Thinking the 700 bass as well, but like the 500 size it it too bulky?
@triple675: I kept going back and forth but after reading various Reddit threads, the 500 sounds like it just helps round out the void from a lack of bass in the soundbar (which IMO wasn't that lacking) but the Bass Module 700 actually makes it sound like a subwoofer. I also wanted an all white setup so that helped justify it :)
@jace88: Nice, yeah i'm close to pulling the trigger, white is key as well
@triple675: Not adding a sub yet, very happy with the amount of low end I'm getting atm. Its just in a normal size bedroom so I don't need a lot of bass (but will probably add anyway if the price is right…!)
@bashprompt: I didn’t really need it, but added the sub 500 for $465 (JB price match David Jones at 517, using 10% off gift cards). It definitely sounds better, noticeably fuller and deeper bass as you’d expect. Gets boomy at higher volumes (also as you’d expect), but great for movies/music/games at normal volumes in a small-medium size room (mine is about 12m2).
9 vs 4 drivers / amplification channels
Has anyone tried pairing this with a third party active sub?
Bose Smart Soundbar 700 @ $669 (44% off) on amazon, is there a huge difference?
