Not the best price ever, but seems like a reasonable deal as it is selling for at least $379 elsewhere.

Says Penrith has stock too.
Is this actually a decent kayak?
We have one and have taken it out with 2 adults. I don't have any other kayaking experience to compare but we enjoyed it.
people who bought one during the last sale haven't posted comments since then
probably pretty good
Unless they've all drowned.
too busy kayaking. and inflating. and patching. and inflating again. and deflating
so.. pretty good
It was a good kayak to take out but we had to return ours after only one use. (BCF were great with returns actually!)
Same issue as a bunch of others on Amazon had. It seems like it was so tightly packed in the box that it had long creases along the side which punctured easy. Shame. It's good for an inflatable, but inflatables in general have so much drag in water and much less side to side stability. They go a lot slower and a lot of your effort is wasted going sideways instead of straight so you see much less of the water vs. same effort in a hard shell kayak. The sides are also quite high and bulky so you brush the oar against that a lot. If you have the space I would get a hard kayak off gumtree.
The description says one person kayak. Why are there two seats?
One for each OzB buttcheek
"The Excursion™ Pro is one of the easiest ways to get two people paddling on the water. Inflating it is simple, and it comes with everything you need."
"A one-person inflatable kayak complete with a pump and oar included"
marketing scheme so u think it's a bargain?
From what I understand these are ok in very still water, but as soon as there is a bit of current or chop it is not easy to paddle. Can someone who has one confirm?
I'm wondering how it compares to a decent sit-on-top. I bring mine out with partner and dog on coastal waters and its not the easiest thing to paddle anyway.
I used one down Jervis Bay Huskisson which is an open inlet estuary, water was choppy and a half metre swell, I didn't capsize and paddling was a bit of a challenge, so definitely would not take into an open ocean or even beach like Coogee with a half decent swell. It's primary weakness is no hard structured rigidity.
Thanks for the intel. Might pass on it then.
Would you go kayaking in any other kayak in those conditions though?
Sounds like not a perfect place or day for a rigid kayak either.
Typed in around 30 postcodes around QLD,VIC and NSW and so far the only one I found that had stock was Camperdown NSW. I’m sure there are more but seems limited.
