  • i remember buying the arctis 7 back in 2019 and it was pretty neutral sounding, not going to get these but for curiosity sake - those that have these, have they changed the sound signature to be more bassy/V shape (not relying on eq)?

    • I had a Arctis 7 as well, and out of the box, the sound wasn't great. Did you hook it up to the PC and change the settings on the Steelseries software? After playing around with them for a bit, it now sounds way better.

      • i pretty much had them for a week for PC and then returned them as they didnt sound great and the headband was pretty small even at the longest strap. I did use the program and played around with it for a bit but even after playing around with the eq i still didnt like the sound signature, i spent quite sometime researching online about it but ended pretty dissatisfied

        • Better to go with the non Bluetooth version for PC IMO. Bluetooth based audio for PC is pretty bad

          • @Draco: Any idea if this works with pc xbox controller dongle?

            • +1

@eMTe: Yep, works properly. I've used an xbox dongle for my PC and bluetooth from phone at the same time with this headset .

              • @Intoxicoligist: thats a good idea, i have the PC version of the Artics 7 so haven't had to muck around with this is the audio quality good with the xbox dongle?

                • @Draco: Yeah, I'm not an audiophile but I thought it was pretty good.

  • I was considering these, but the steelseries subreddit has people complaining about constant disconnects. They also seem to be prone to cracking at the headband, and still charge over microUSB.
