Some of the best pasta around, for a price rarely seen. Goes good with a bolognese sauce.

Is this a refrigerated product?
no. it's dry.
Yum … dried cheese powder, like the "parmesan" powder shaker we had when I was a kid. :-(
No problem with dried pasta of course, but if the filling doesn't need a fridge, I'm wary.
Can't add to cart?
No more discount. Jumped on this as soon as I saw it, price increased while items were in the cart. Order did not go through.
Back in stock, just bought a few.
“Some of the best pasta around”, are you sure?! Based on what fact? I can agree if it’s your personal taste.
“Goes well with bolognese sauce”: They are very salty and only suit a mild condimen, traditionally a broth. Nobody would it this in Italy in bolognese sauce, particularly in Bologna.
I might have to take a pack over to bologna and prove you wrong
Chill
No, you generally eat these hot.
Teleport?
This is probably ok, but Barilla and good pasta don't belong in the same sentence
Barilla = bad pasta ?
It's not bad, but it's not great.
Mate, "good" exactly somewhere in between great and bad )
@megaalc: OK, between Garofolo as the benchmark 10 and home brand as a baseline 0, Barilla is a 4.
@[Deactivated]: More like 3.5
@Hasbulla: Let's meet in the middle. 4.
Not great, not terrible. 3.7
@KnifeEnthusiastBoi: 3.7? So harsh.
IMO its one of the better shitty supermarket pastas :)
In WA at Woolworths tho, we have "la molisana pastificio extra di lusso" and it shits over barilla in every way.
3/4 of a cup of flour and 1 egg, thats what you knead for the best pasta.
I just tried making the no egg pasta and the egg pasta and agree, nothing beat fresh pasta cooked in 1-2 min.
The recipe called for:
Eggs 5 x 60g
Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Plain flour 300g/ 2 cups
Semolina 170g/ 1 cupFresh pasta and durum wheat pasta are two different bases for two different meals. One isn't better than the other, apples, oranges.
Showing $6.50. Deal over!
All gone (again?)
OOS again
Barilla is pretty average quality pasta.
Thanks back in stock, bought 5
not adding to my cart :(
edit - buy button disappeared - oos ?$2 at NQR but has short expiry date or already expired (still fine though, it's dried pasta).
Arrived today but it was short expiry stock. A bit disappointing given they didn't state this
Thanks. Bought four.
