exactly! From this month onward, we can expect a price war for android tablets.
http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/10-inch-tablet-pc-android-8gb/
This is better IMHO, comes with 1GB ram and IPS screen.
But has the big negative of being a Kogan.
I had the chance of playing with one, its not so bad. + Comes with 8GB vs 4GB
Come on guys, Nexus 7 is a benchmark for these rubbish sales. (Even without expandable memory or a 10" screen.)
I agree, they are setting the standard for value now. Generic brands will need to slash and burn prices. I just bought an Ainol Elf II for USD$102 (without shipping) which is half the US price of the Nexus 7 and even then I'm thinking it was barely worth it in comparison.
that was originally $279???
now thats funny
it has the specs of a <$100 crappy ebay tablet
Originally $279? You mean you were originally trying to rip people of at this price?
Is this 'cooler' than the Samsung tabs?
I get the reference.
4GB on board storage. 512MB DDR2 RAM. Low res screen. 0.3MP camera. This is crap.
For this money I'd rather get a Nexus 7. It does cost a little bit more ($50 for an extra 4GB) but you get a better screen, better CPU and GPU, more RAM, and Jellybean. You will need to spend extra on an SDcard if you buy this anyway.
Not even close to a deal, sorry. Even without the specter of the Nexus 7, this can't even compete with other Chinese generics at this price.
Pretty much unusable in everyway. No deal.
There are better buys out there…
