Most of you know what this is.. slightly cheaper than amazon if you want to pickup or prefer local bricks and mortar store.
Less warranty issues than stuff from amazon US via Amazon AU?
Surcharge: 1.2% Card & PayPal, 2% AmEx.

Hence why local warranty availability would be superior for similar money.
I have a 512GB SSD on my pc. Including the Windows 10 OS, I find it hard to fill even to 30% of the available space. Can’t imagine what I’ll do with a 4TB one.
I've got 2TB and keep having to delete some games to make space. I generally alternate between a few games and only play casually
Have you seen the file size of 4k UHD HDR DV movies ozbargainers stream to their LG OLED tvs. This will fit about 40 movies.
40 Movies!??!? wtf where are you finding copies that small??
You need to download more 4k linux ISO's
Lol weak.
I have a 2tb ssd, s 512gb 960 pro nvme, a 2 tb nvme, and 8tb spinning rust. (Used for non games )
Had to buy another nvme as all my hdd where all >90% full. Bought a 2tb 990 pro… now they are all around half give or take.
I'm sure ark uses almost one by itself!
I'm guessing you don't collect all the free games…
Hopefully they will honour deal!!!! See this
B***** Company!

Avoid giving any money to Centre Com
They don't honour the prices on their website and attempt to weasel out of deals with this disclaimer at the bottom of every page:
Centre Com reserves the right to not make a loss
Witness this deal as the most recent example
I've just read that whole thread - deals being cancelled due to misprice is pretty normal, it's rare that the retailer will eat the cost.
So not sure why the outrage ? Is there something they've done that's out of the ordinary ?
Amazon is cheaper @ $387.04 Delivered
Looks like they went down a further $4 from previous deal. I would still prefer local at similar price due to ease of warranty. Items from amazon US via AU might be difficult to warranty in year 4 for example…
Amazon is the easiest warranty process of all. They give you a label post it to the Sydney fulfilment centre for Amazon US purchases.
Most of the time they have drop off points all over the place don't they?
Online warranty has certainly been easiest with amazon.
(I work for aws but don't have anything to do with the retail business)
If something fails early in its life, for sure. But what happens if the item is 4years old? I wouldnt want to test that theory if the price is about the same from a local store. See amazon international warranty clause below:
"International Product Variations and Warranties
International Products are marketed, distributed, and sold in the applicable source country listed in the table in this section but made available to you through Amazon.com.au. Consequently, some International Products may not be designed to the same specifications as Australian products and may differ from versions sold in Australia, including in their fit, default settings, age ratings, and language. Foreign versions of certain products, such as software and DVDs, may be region-locked against use in Australia. Manufacturer warranties may not apply in Australia and manufacturer service options may not be available in Australia, but you may have other rights under law. You are responsible for reviewing available product information to ensure that the International Product you are purchasing meets your needs and expectations."
@FarQ: Amazon have never refused me warranty and some items have been pretty old. I have no doubt they would back up their 5 year claim if necessary. It quite clearly says 5 year warranty in the title of the listing and its not being sold by a third party so
@vodamerc: Don’t get me wrong, I took the risk on a 4tb firecuda 530 ssd for $655 vs $900ish locally. I’m just saying that I would personally buy local for about the same price as they have different T&C’s for Amazon global products.
@FarQ: Ive had nothing but positives. Had a power supply that failed after 4 years. Bought from Amazon US. Aus warranty store of the product refused to do anything with it. Amazon US gave me a replacement and paid for the shipping back to US. Replacement failed immediately then they gave me a full refund. I ended up making over $100 from it for the exchange rate and they paid me in US dollars for the shipping reimbursement each time.
for anyone considering grabbing from Amazon, it is currently telling me it will be delivered at end of January 2023
I find their international estimates to be very conservative.
Yeah. Usually comes in around 10 or less business days. It is the holiday season so not sure now.
Centrecom get a defacto neg from me for dodgy practices.
Probably worth linking the other thread due to the supposed recent QC/Reliability issues
