Baseus Bluetooth 5.0 over Ear Headphones $27.19 (Normally $39.99) Delivered @ baseus_officialstore_au eBay

XMASBASEUS

Baseus has dropped the price of these headphones to $31.99 (recent prices range from $35.99 to $39.99), which is then further reduced 15% with the code. Available in either black or white. Online reviews give it a pretty good rap. This was the first youtube video I found and the guy raves about them. One nice feature is that they can be used either wired or wirelessly, which is handy if you run out of juice and have a 3.5mm jack available.

The eBay description calls them 'noise cancelling'. They're not. They're 'noise isolating', meaning the closed ear cups isolate noise. There's no form of electronic noise cancellation but you wouldn't expect any at this price. I don't think that's intentional. I think it's a 'lost in translation' thing. I'll ask them to change this to avoid any confusion.

My daughter loses headphones like they're going out of fashion. I think I'll get a set of these for her for Christmas - less pain when she loses them.

    Does anyone know how this; https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/xcd-bluetooth-over-ear-he… will stack up to this - only $20.99 and if you have $10 perks voucher, I think it's a pretty good offering.

      I'm not going to talk about the sound quality because I don't know but just by fit and earpad quality the xcds pads look better but the baseus pads look like they have more space. You may need more room in the pads for them to be comfortable.

      If it was me and you can put a little more cash in, I would consider an Amazon Renewed or Amazon Marketplace product. Most are change of mind returns in very good condition and you can likely get someone a little more decent. If you aren't happy with the condition, you can return as normal, but everything I've brought from either has looked new, just with opened box.

      Keep in mind if you're going to use them a lot (or whoever is) you are better off spending a bit more to get something comfortable, than a set you will want to bin after a few months.

      I have the Sennheiser 4.50BTNC (A lot more at $149), but I think I've had them for 5 years with no issues, where prior to that I went through 2 cheap pairs of JBL in a year ~$70.

      Edit: Stock on Amazon Renewed and Marketplace changes daily, so if you can hold off you might find something you like on another day

      • just checked some stuff on Amazon Renewed and Amazon Marketplace
        and the prices are ridiculously overpriced than ebay prices

        also some items are only slightly cheaper than what can bought brand new

          Renewed = 6-month warranty
          Marketplace = fully manu warranty

          There were also a few options I saw when I posted for ~$50, which 1 was $90 and the other $110 new (JBL, Sony)

          As I stated above, most of these are "like new" and only opened, then returned. Used on eBay doesn't normally come with warranty unless the original receipt is provided.

          Also, they stuff cycles daily, so the good deals go quick. I have brought ~10 items now (mostly computer accessories) for 30-50% below new price

          • @Froot Loops: what items are you buying, post the links of those items so I can see.

            had a look around and it is overpriced

            e.g.

            https://www.amazon.com.au/promotion/psp/A38XK1YQ98MH0J?ref=

            on ebay I can get like 3 of those

            As I stated above, most of these are "like new" and only opened, then returned. Used on eBay doesn't normally come with warranty unless the original receipt is provided.

            who cares when the price is ridiculously overpriced.
            as stated I can get 3 of those items above on ebay.

            ebay also has 60 days returns if faulty etc
            and paypal has 180 days.

            Also as I said some of these return items are only slightly cheaper than new items that can be bought in store or on ebay (new)
            and if you used codes it can be even cheaper.

            e.g.

            ipad

            https://www.amazon.com.au/2021-Apple-iPad-10-2-inch-Wi-Fi/dp…

            • @pinkybrain: Again, deals are released daily and the best deals go quick (as there is only normally 1-2 items), so you need to be on the ball and look often. I was looking at headphones in this case. Things like iPads will never be cheap as they hold their value. Amazon also isn't going to price returned items against the comp, and the way higher priced items like iPads work, is when the main price dips the used price dips with it.

              If you find it used without full warranty on eBay and your happy, then buy there. This is just another option as they do decent deals. Many of Amazons Marketplace food deals end up on OzBargain, due to the quantity, where single items won't (10 rule)

      I bought a wired xcd headphones at jb hifi once and it failed out of the box, dead and totally not working. I brought it back to JB hifi for a refund and the sales staff gave me a real crappy attitude at first like I'm lying (saying that it's my new laptop's port that's not working and why didn't I bring my laptop to the shop to test etc). Anyways, he tested it using his mobile phone and immediately processed my refund on the spot (with a much friendlier attitude). I'm still quite traumatised by the unpleasant experience tbh and refused to buy XCD headphone since.

  • I have a pair of these and find they will often disconnect from computer and usually cant be heard very well in meetings

    • In the linked youtube review, he mentions that the microphone is pretty crap.

    • What kind of computer/bt adaptor do you have? I used to have similar issues with a hp laptop until I upgraded to an Intel AX200 card
