  • Out of stock online but still some in some stores

    • It was showing in stock a few mintes ago. Has been Ozbargained.

Try for in store C&C then if one can.

    • However it's $247 unless you can try for price match. However Kmart online now seems to be OOS.

I swear these were 199 in August as I bought one as a spare

    • Are you sure that it wasn't the previous model the Samsung Galaxy A12?. Both the A12 and the A13 look similar at first well the front of the phone does. Only the rear looks different.

      • Nope just checked my jbhifi receipt was 199 for a13 128gb in black

Unfortunately no NFC in the Australian model.

  • +8

No NFC. I would have though that was a basic requirement in 2022.

    • +1

Yeah how does Samsung think they can get away with it only putting NFC in the higher end models.

      • Why don't you ask them !

      • I'm sure that is marketing 101.
Make sure you entry level products are missing features so you upsell to the more expensive models.
Another example is RAM. we all know this is very cheap but it is good marketing to make sure the cheap models only just have enough RAM to talk you up to higher models.

There is NFC in the US and UK model but not for Australia.

  • Kmart Richmond have stock

Just curious, why don't I add $80 and get the A23 instead?

Is A23 spec not worth $299?

Just curious, why don't I add $50 and get the A33 instead?

Is A33 spec not worth $350?

      • They're all expired deals mate. Not sure what you're smoking…

it will be $350 again in 2 weeks time

4GB RAM is pretty bad these days. Switching between certain apps will absolutely crawl.

    • I'm currently using a phone with 2GB RAM, and all my previous phones had 1GB. My 2GB phone has no problems switching between apps, and my 1GB phones didn't either.

What apps are you having trouble with? Sounds like those apps have code bloat.

I don't use anything made by Facebook, is that the app you're talking about?

    Thanks OP
but some K-marts can't dump them at 179.
Non 5G and non NFC should be capped at $100, perhaps the charger is worth $10 extra!

    • A charger may not be included. Samsung doesn't provide chargers anymore.

      • OMG! then take 20 bucks off as it would be a dual voltage!

      • An elderly family member of mine recently bought one of these. I had to set it up on behalf. And to my surprise that it does come with a Samsung USB-C charger. Strange that it's included in a base model.

  • Seems to be an expired deal.
