    Was setting up my Samsung smart monitor M8 today and when I opened the Apple TV app there was the same offer available. Too bad I already have an existing trial subscription and it doesn’t extend it my another 3 months

    3 months? I can't believe this is considered a deal. 12 months would be good I guess. We are talking about a TV purchase, not some cheap item. Would be ok if an LG was on your radar.

      Or perhaps you're oblivious. Clearly LG want to push people over the line who are in the market for a new model and weighing up options. No one in their right mind would spend thousands to get a 3-month free Apple subscription, and that was never the message.

        I doubt 3-month free Apple subs would carry any weight when your TV budget is a few grands. More like a perk to reward existing customers - something rare those days - and provide a sense of premium service.
